Story
Rio, Rio Rio! Is a beautiful girl at the perfect size. She weighs about 30 pounds so will fit just about any life style. She is food motivated with a cute happy feet approach to both food and greeting her loved people. She can be timid when meeting new people but if you let her come to you she does well. The same can be said when she meets new humans. Just chill and let her come to you. Sweet Rio has stories to tell... Like how she ended up with 3 toes on one foot, how she isn't real fond of most vets even though they have helped her and about the woman that saved her. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed and on heartworm prevention. Apply at forrescue.net

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 55 lbs  Age  1 year old        Odie is an incredibly sweet and gentle family dog who gets along great with other dogs and currently lives with a cat whom he loves. He also lives with young children and is great with them.                Odie and his siblings were found abandoned in a rural part of Mississippi and one by one were sent to the northeast to loving homes. Odie is doing great in his foster home, but really needs a home of his own, with a yard for him to play in. He would love a home with another dog for company, but as long as someone is around to give him the love and attention he needs, he’d be fine as an only pet.   Odie loves toys and bones and is just a really good boy. He is completely house trained and knows how to sit and stay.  Good    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first.\ He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. Rio is a wonderful boy who will make a great family member!

Story
Bailey (born 6/20/2015) is a 14 pound, housebroken, Rat Terrier mix. Because Bailey came from an abuse situation, he has trust issues. If you want to adopt him, you would need to visit with Bailey a few times to become friends and gain his trust. The deal here is that Bailey needs to know you before he can trust you. Once Bailey knows you, he is a very affectionate and loyal friend, but he will also be protective – so he needs to know that you will be the one to protect him. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us. FOR AN APPLICATION, please visit http://humanesocietyny.org/adoptions/ and download then email your application to hsny.adopt@gmail.com. Our one and only location is: 306 East 59th Street (between 1st & 2nd Avenue) in Manhattan. If you'd like to sponsor Bailey, please email amk.hsny@verizon.net. You can give as much or as little as you like. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you! For additional information on the Humane Society of New York, please visit: humanesocietyny.org. Thank you!

Story
Meet Dari❤️ Dari was brought to the Gimje Shelter with her six puppies. Despite having skin diseases all over her body, she took care of her babies but one of them passed away. With the cold winter coming soon, Adogs was very concerned about the health of Dari and her pippies, and urgently rescued them. * With People: Needs some time to warm up to strangers. Approaches when called but might get startled if you suddenly raise your hand. Feels more comfortable and gives her face to familiar people. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs at our center without any issues. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as she resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: May use potty pads but goes potty outside at our center. Training may be necessary in a new environment. * Hygiene: Accepts baths and nail trimming very well. Dislikes dry blowing but tolerates it when she is cuddled. * Walks: Is undergoing training to get accustomed to walks. No pulling on the leash. * Car Sickness: Rides in the car very well without motion sickness. ❗Health Status❗ * Spayed. * Microchipped. * She is diagnosed with parasitic skin disease and is receiving treatment. It's not contagious! * Her fur is growing back after losing it due to her skin disease.
