Story
Sunday came home from the shelter about 3 months ago. I had recently purchased a house and wanted a dog for company and to help make the house a home. He is very playful, needs someone who can handle his high energy. We take multiple walks a day, and he enjoys a short jog as well frequently. He loves smelling plants and bushes. He barks at other dogs and tries to run / lunge to them. Needs exposure to friendly larger dogs to help him become friendly with dogs. He did settle after about 10 minutes when I last brought him around some friends small dogs. He likes playing catch as well. When he’s not playing he likes napping, and rests well with little to no problems when alone. He does get very mouthy and his playing is hand biting. Needs to be trained out of this. He also gets aggressive with new people/strangers. He needs a patient human, and someone that can spend a lot of time with him. He enjoys cuddling, does need constant attention. Unfortunately he is more than I can handle.

Story
Clayton is a male Chihuahua/rat terrier mix around 6 months old and weighs just over 5 lbs! He is a very energetic little boy who just loves to run in the yard and chase toys in the house. When he is not moving about, he would prefer to be on your lap! He is eager for the attention of his human companions and enjoys curling up near your neck and snuggling. He gets along great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home and is always ready to play. Clayton has been wonderful with both senior and baby animals as companions. He may be a little scared meeting new people but quickly warms up with a gentle touch. When he is tired, eating, or has a toy he doesn't want to give up, the Chihuahua attitude comes out and he may try to nip. Because of this, he may not be good in a home with small children who do not understand doggie boundaries. Clayton is very smart and has responded well to training so far, and he will even sit and stay patiently for his snack. He has only been in foster care for a few weeks, so he is still house-training but is getting better every day. This tiny young boy is very trainable and looking for the right person to continue his good progress. Clayton is an adorable and very affectionate dog who loves to have plenty of play time and then curl up next to you for a nap. Story
Cowboy is approximately 12 years old and in great health. He loves chasing squirrels, toasting in the sun, play tug of war, and the usual games. He's very friendly with other dogs, and has been a great pet. We originally adopted him for my wife's grandmother 10 years. When she passed a couple years ago we took him in with the intention of finding him a new forever home. We previously had two dogs, and 3 dogs has become too much. We recently moved across the country and no longer have the space for 3 dogs. Cowboy would love to be in a home as a single dog or with others, and doesn't require anything other than love and affection.
