Story
Milo is so friendly that he needs a new home where he can get the attention he craves. Until a few months ago, he lived with his guardian from puppyhood and was always at her side with free run of the house. His world turned upside down, however, when she died. Although relatives have tried to give him a loving home, Milo spends his days in a crate while they're at work and overnight too. For a gregarious 7-year-old rat terrier, such changes are upsetting. Milo wants someone around most of the day to provide exercise, playtime, and snuggles. When Milo isn't right beside you, he might be lounging in a sunny spot, chasing and retrieving toys, enticing you to play tug-of-war, happily greeting visitors at the door, or zooming around the house!    Milo tells you he needs to go out by standing at the door or pacing in front of it. For years he was reliably house-trained, but as his former mama aged, she sometimes missed those cues, and he began having accidents indoors. Fortunately, his current caretakers are vigilant, so they've only had a few occasions when he has marked out of fear or frustration. In a new home, he'll achieve full reliability with continued monitoring and a regular routine. Since Milo loves walks and does well on leash, a regular walking schedule is essential. In Milo's current home, he lives with two other dogs three times bigger (he's 15 lbs.). After a little time to acclimate, they get along fine. He also has been to doggy daycare a few times and reportedly does well with other dogs there. Milo loves all people, friend or stranger, and is ready to make your acquaintance!
