Story
Clayton is a male Chihuahua/rat terrier mix around 6 months old and weighs just over 5 lbs! He is a very energetic little boy who just loves to run in the yard and chase toys in the house. When he is not moving about, he would prefer to be on your lap! He is eager for the attention of his human companions and enjoys curling up near your neck and snuggling. He gets along great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home and is always ready to play. Clayton has been wonderful with both senior and baby animals as companions. He may be a little scared meeting new people but quickly warms up with a gentle touch. When he is tired, eating, or has a toy he doesn't want to give up, the Chihuahua attitude comes out and he may try to nip. Because of this, he may not be good in a home with small children who do not understand doggie boundaries. Clayton is very smart and has responded well to training so far, and he will even sit and stay patiently for his snack. He has only been in foster care for a few weeks, so he is still house-training but is getting better every day. This tiny young boy is very trainable and looking for the right person to continue his good progress. Clayton is an adorable and very affectionate dog who loves to have plenty of play time and then curl up next to you for a nap.
