He hasn't really been around cats or children, but there's no reason to think he won't do well with them. Scrappy is pee pad trained, but he can't said to be housebroken quite yet. Scrappy will either be neutered prior to going to his new home, or a portion of his adoption fee will be refunded upon proof of neutering. My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Here's what the humans have to say about me: Oscar is an adorable Rat Terrier mix who is approximately 3-4 years old and currently weighs 15 pounds. He came to our rescue from a pretty stressful environment where there were 80 dogs all living in a small home together. Despite coming from these overcrowded living conditions , Oscar is a sweet little dog who is learning what it’s like to get lots of love and affection. Oscar is a tenderhearted little boy, who does need a warming up period to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Coming from the home he was in, he was not handled very much, so he is still learning that one on one attention is a pretty wonderful thing. Once he settles in and learns to trust, his sweet personality will start to shine through. He does get along well with other dogs, and pretty much minds his own business! Oscar has bonded with his care givers here at the rescue and lets me love on him and give him treats! Watch his new video! Oscar is looking for a patient family who understands his background and can give him the loving home he deserves. We do think he would do better in a quieter home with older children. I'm currently undergoing heartworm treatment with PAWS Shelter. I am eligible to go home as a foster-to-adopt until my treatment is complete. PAWS Shelter is paying and providing my heartworm treatment. Tessie is a super sweet but sensitive girl. Sadly, she has not been treated very well in her short time on this Earth and is working on growing all her hair back at the moment. Despite that, she still has nothing but love to give, even though she takes a few seconds to be sure about new people. She loves affection and cuddle time. Tessie walks really well on leash, does well around other dogs here, is intimidated by cats but gets along well around them, and has had good interactions with children. She soaks up every ounce of affection you can offer her.
