Story
These four boys came to us on transfer from the north, and will soon be looking for their forever homes! The boys are steadily growing and will continue until they are over 100 pounds of dog! They have a smoochy face, which is a characteristic of Coonhounds and Ridgebacks. If you fancy a howl, or a show in your home, then one of these boys are for you! Coonhounds are very intelligent, stubborn breeds and will require a patient guardian who can continue to socialize, train with R+ obedience methods and continue to explore scent work and hounds are lead by their nose! Because of this, it is very important to be extra cautious with these dogs off leash as their nose can often find them in trouble! They are highly active dogs, requiring a busy hosehold with yard access. They are not suitable for apartment living and would do best with a breed experienced adopter. These puppies initially found their way into shelter at 4 weeks old and were suspected to have Cerebeller Hypoplasia. Fortunately on re-examination at 8 weeks of age, the vet does not feel like they have a neurological disorder after all. These beautiful boys will be neutered on April 1st, Tuesday! The shelter staff will prioritize in-person applications. We will also be looking for local adopters that can take the pups to and from their neuter appointments. Our viewing times are from Tuesday-Sunday, 12-3pm. Can't wait to see you there! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.8 Age: 0yrs 0mths 8wks
