Story
a young family with babies bought Cooper, puppy wasn't introduced to family members appropriately.. Reportedly drew blood on a toddler? Family relation took the puppy, feeling it wasn't Cooper's fault. Family relation thought young family shouldn't have gotten Copper without researching breed or needs of puppy. Family relation stated they have 2 babies and 2 teenagers and elderly dog, really overwhelmed and couldn't give Cooper what he requires. The Family relation actually slept with cooper and stated he is a good puppy just not for their family. He is potty trained, family reported to have wormed puppy, I found worm in vomit during car ride. I am treating Cooper for worms now. Apparently NO ONE GAVE COOPER SHOTS....My pets are up on their shots, but i'm not wanting to spend more money on Cooper to do his shots.. I can't keep him. I don't have a fenced yard, i'm 70 and just put my 105 lb dobe down this past fall. With 2 cats, baby tortoise, and poodle I'm overwhelmed.

Story
This beautiful, sweet, well behaved puppy was bought by a uneducated , ignorant young couple with brand new baby. They didn't have a fenced in yard in a trailer park or experience with dogs. after 2 or 3 weeks (bought him at 8 wks). Decided he didn't work well with brand new baby. A relative living in the trailer park decided to take on puppy. They realized puppy wasn't working for them with babies and elderly dog.. I answered the post on fb book that he had to go... They dropped him off at my door the very next morning. He had worms, I dewormed him.. No one got him shots, I vaccinated him with 5/1 vaccine. He is potty trained and stays in kennel quietly. Very loving, has stayed with me on my bed. He has acquainted himself with my 2 cats and older poodle.. NOn of them like him, but tolerate his behavior. ... He needs to go, i'm low income 70 yr old , no fenced yard. After several people promised to get him off of me from posting I placed,,,, no one has come to get him. HELP...

If you’ve been searching for a loyal companion who’s sweet and secretly a cuddle professional, then meet Arbor! This gentle girl is ready to leaf her worries behind and branch out in her forever home. Arbor is a bit shy at first, it takes her a minute to bloom. But once she warms up, she’s all about head-in-your-lap snuggles and soft, soulful stares. She’s not the type to bark orders or cause a ruckus — Arbor’s more of a quiet observer, waiting for the perfect moment to gently nudge your arm and remind you it’s cuddle o’clock. She also does beautifully with other dogs. If you’re looking for a low-key lovebug who just wants to grow roots with someone special, come meet Arbor. She’s ready to go out on a limb... for you.

Brick Top A17331455 lb. neutered male, approx 4 years old -Walks decent on leash but you’re not going anywhere fast. He wants to use his nose to smell all the smells.-He’s a friendly boy who enjoys pets-A little timid and army crawls to you for attention -Once he’s comfortable he gives a few tiny kisses-Likes treats and takes them nicely-Still working on “sit”-My squeaker scared him a little-Not interested in toys currently-Just needs some time and a confidence boost-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
