Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Frank is an 8 1/2 year old coonhound who came to the shelter as a surrender because his owner is having health issues. Frank is just a good ol' hound dog who did live most of his life outside. He was trained to hunt coyotes and has a few scars to show it. He's a big and strong dude with a kind and somewhat mellow disposition. He has been vet checked, neutered, chipped, and his fee is $150. We think Frank would make a nice companion for someone who has the space for him - space being the key word. He enjoys the great outdoors, ambling around looking for adventure. He doesn't ask for a lot and is very loyal. As a hound he definitely follows his nose so a secure environment is important. He would do best in an adult only home. Teens are fine. He is accustomed to the company of other dogs. Cats are a no. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 8:00 pm
