This beautiful hound is Ellie. Ellie is an approximately 1.5 year old female Rebone Coonhound mix that weighs around 45 lbs. She was rescued as a stray from the streets of OKC. Ellie is a sweet girl, playful and loves treats and chew bones. She was found with another dog (so we do believe she would be good with other dogs, given time to acclimate); However, she has been hesitant to be around other dogs. She has been in daycare boarding and we haven't had a dog friendly dog to introduce her to in boarding. But at a recent adoption outreach we tested her and she does best with male dogs with lower energy. Ellie in typical hound fashion loves singing the song of her people. If you are a hound person you know this sound well. She would not do well in an apartment setting. A secure stockade fenced yard is required for her to play in safely. We do not know if Ellie is house trained since she has been in boarding. She will need continued assistance with her leash manners. Since Ellie is currently in a boarding situation, she qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or a foster. Ellie is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, current on HW preventive and microchipped.
