I am about 9 years old, a gorgeous redhead, and medium-sized. They say I have oodles of personality. I love going for walks and dressing up in my coats. I am very talkative once I know you. I enjoy going on car rides but will need a seatbelt or crate because I like to sit on laps when driving. When Ms. Bekki rescued me, I had a huge hematoma in my ear, skinny and heartworm positive, and growth on my back. But no worries! Ms. Bekki made sure I was taken care of! The ear that had the hematoma now flops over, but it’s healthy now! I was treated for heartworms and on monthly heartworm preventative. The growth on my back was removed and come to find out it was caused by a flea allergy, but I don’t have fleas anymore! YEAH!!! And I am a healthy weight thanks to daily meals and snacks! I am a Vet tech who has a soft spot for hounds. I pull hounds specifically, from high kill shelters, assess them and find them forever homes. Cedrus (ceddy) is 9yo and an interesting fella. His background is unknown. The high kill shelter I got him from said he was a stray. While Ceddy has been good with dogs of all sizes, he is what I would say- socially awkward. He is not aggressive by all means, he just chooses to be a loner. I believe he would thrive best as the only dog in the house. He has shown no interest in my cats. He is and UTD on vaccines. He is heartworm negative and just received his Proheart 6 injection and 3 month dose of Bravecto. My ideal home for this guy would be a relaxed home without kids. Cedrus would love to have someone to sit on the sofa with so he can rest his chin on them and watch his favorite true crime shows. Keep in mind Ceddy is a hound and LOUD. No apartment living for this guy. He would prefer a fenced yard to run with his toys. 🙂🐾

It was raining that night - a lot! It was not raining cats, but it sure was raining dogs! Specifically this little trio who were found sopping wet and close to drowning in a ditch. How they got there, no one knows, but how lucky that a Good Samaritan rescued them and brought them to a safe place. With their floppy ears and snuggly puppy manners, they are as cute as buttons, and we cannot wait for them to learn that there are much better places for them to spend their lives than a ditch in the country. ! Willie is a retired coon dog. He retired over two years ago when he ran off on the job and came to us instead. His owner was located but failed to return calls to claim him, so here he sits, waiting to meet you instead!!! He is pretty chill and quite the love. The lady dogs love Willie! He is kid friendly, but older and/or understanding kids would probably be best because this sweet old man prefers naps over fetch in the yard. He has not been tested with cats, but given his background of chasing small animals, we can say it would probably be best if he had a home with no cats.
