Story
This is Jade! This darling girl would love to enjoy the comforts of home and leave our rescue in Arkansas. She is 2-3 years old. Jade has a high prey drive, so she can’t cohabitate with cats. She is good with puppies, but really prefers to be by herself. She is ok with male dogs, but would really just like to be left alone to watch the squirrels. She is very sweet. She enjoys attention and is a loving companion, but isn’t overly needy. She is quiet and not much of a barker. Are you searching for an independent fur friend to add to your family?? Find us at https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ or on FB to fill out an application for Jade!

Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: ❤️ MERLE ❤️🐾 Merle needs a foster or adopter to claim his spot on the transport truck that will be leaving the shelter in Georgia on April 12th, 2025, heading to Cedarburg, Wisconsin. If he doesn’t have a confirmed spot by then, he won’t be able to make the trip. We are posting him in hopes to connect him with his future adopter, since we don’t have enough fosters to bring him. ABOUT MERLE: Merle is a sweet 9-month-old Redbone/Bird Dog mix who is ready for his next adventure! His last owner surrendered him because he didn’t make it on the hunting trail and “didn’t have enough grit and chewed up trash in his yard,” but this goofy and lovable pup has so much more to offer. He’s a big, playful boy who is friendly with both dogs and kids. Merle is still working on his leash manners and is a little nervous around doorways, but with some patience and love, he’ll be an amazing companion! If you think Merle could be the perfect fit for your family, please consider fostering or adopting this sweet boy. He’s ready to start fresh and would love to do it with you! He just needs a little guidance and love to become the amazing companion he’s meant to be. You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. Story
Meet Country! Country is a super smart, good girl. She listens well when corrected, she does great in her crate, she is potty trained and she’s beautiful too! Her pictures do not do her justice. She has a stunning red coat that shines in the sun. Country is a girl who loves a great adventure. She likes hiking and playing. After all her adventures, she’s perfectly happy to lay in a sunny spot on the floor or next to you for a cozy nap. Country is a little timid when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and will soon be nuzzling her head into your neck. Country is dog selective and would be best as the only dog in her home. Country was rescued from an overcrowded TX shelter and brought to WI in search of a forever home. Country is a 2 year old sweet, loving girl, who weighs about 60 lbs. Country is a smart cookie, her new family should be committed to taking the time and having the patience to help Country to be the best girl she can be. Country is up to date on vaccines, flea/tick and heart worm prevention. She is spayed and microchipped.
