Story
We got Chloe from our vet and she’s lovely and minds well.we have had her for 4 years and love her dearly. She is particular about her food so we feed her separately from our other dogs. She is fine with all people but cats are off limits. She is a protector of her human and if she feels another dog is hurting her human she will start a fight. I think she would be best as an only dog home. She has a lot of energy so needs to run and my back yard is not big enough for her to get out her energy. We do walk but she could use training there too. She’s very sweet and lovable just needs a home where she gets all the attention. She adores our male husky and is submissive to him but our female husky she is not and loves her but will fight over food with her. These are just details I wanted to share. She’s 100% potty trained and loves to cuddle. I will take her to get updated shots before the adoption takes place.

Story
I got John from the shelter at 3 months old without knowing much about his breed. He has a very striking coat and is a very beautiful dog. Unfortunately, his breed requires a lot of training and structure. Due to my schedule, I am unable to be home with him very often. He has not received structured training, which he would benefit from. He is also very high energy and needs plenty of space to run around. He is a very sweet dog and he loves to cuddle. He also is very protective. He doesn’t run away and will follow you without a leash. He is not adapting well to apartment life.

Story
Joe is a stunning 8 year old black mouth cur mix that is ready to find his forever family❤️ Sweet Joe has a strong desire to be near his people, always. He’s a cuddle bug and loves being where his family is! He is good at being a companion dog, he plays well with puppies & is a protector of his people! He will bark when strangers come to the door but once he knows they’re cool, he will be their new best friend🐾 This handsome boy can be an adventure pup or a couch potato. He loves to go for hikes and runs, but he is also happy cuddling up on a couch with his humans! He likes other dogs, but prefers pup friends with laid-back personalities so he can be the “big dog in the house,” or he would be okay as an only dog! 🐶 Joe has a strong case of FOMO, so he always wants to know what you are doing and where you are going. He likes to follow his people around the house and get into the things they are getting into. He really just wants to be near his humans & doing whatever they’re doing.❤️ Joe needs an adult-only household, or one with older children. Poor buddy is scared of little kids and deserves a home where he doesn’t have to be separated from little ones, and can roam his home as he pleases. He is kennel trained, but doesn’t need to be kept in one because he isn’t destructive & he is house trained! Joe is a good boy that deserves a soft place to land after his family dynamic has changed. If you have an older, established household, please consider adding Joe to your family!🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
