I have not seen her around cats or kids but she is such a calm, sweet girl that I don’t predict any problems. She will eat anything in front of her and loves to chew on toys and lounge on laps. Story
I am in my mid-70's and recently became the primary caregiver of a 3-year-old girl. Taking care of her, 2 dogs, my family and my house is getting to be too much. Milo is a 5-year-old (May 2019) Rhodesian ridgeback, weighing in at 44 pounds. TJ is a 4-year-old (October 2020) German Shepherd mix weighing in at 72 pounds. They have both been neutered. They have been raised together and get along extremely well. Both are very affectionate and loyal. They walk in tandem on leash and enjoy their outings, especially the dog park. TJ enjoys playing fetch and will actually return the ball; Milo will chase it but not retrieve. :/ Please respond if you are interested. We will happily pass on the dog crates, leashes, food, and anything else in the way of supplies that I have that you might need or want. I have 2 grandchildren. The dogs and babies are curious about and tolerate each other easily. They are really wonderful, sweet dogs.

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Jasper and Sienna are Courtesy Post Only and are not Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs. SCDR is not  responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, and representations made by the owner with respect to these dogs. You must contact their owner,  Danielle at  leyvadaniela@gmail.com    for further information.   ******** Ideally, they would go to a home together as we believe they are siblings and are very bonded but we are considering separating. They would do best in a home where their humans aren't away for very long and we recommend crate training when you are away or at night.    Sienna is a Vizsla mix around 40 pounds, about 1 1/2 years old. She is a timid little girl but very cuddly and playful when she gets comfortable. She and her brother love to take long walks in the neighborhood and parks. She is very food driven and enjoys bully sticks and treats. Still learning commands. She is not so great on a leash and needs some general training. She can be a little growly when other dogs growl at her but loves all people and children. She tends to follow her brother's lead and leans on him for guidance.  Sienna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.     Jasper is a Vizsla mix and weighs around 50 pounds, about 1 1/2 years old. Jasper is a little chunky, mischievous love bug. He seems more pittie/lab but loves people and children the same. He is more confident than Sienna. He is all boy and a bit clumsy but loves cuddles and attention. He is great on a leash and a little more house broken but would also benefit from general training. He can be protective of his sister. Jasper is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.   For further information or to meet Sienna or Jasper, please contact, their owner Danielle at leyvadaniela@gmail.com  All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Story
Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego
