Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane, though it is his Ridgeback side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish- brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch. His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness and intelligence that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. This delightful pup enjoys the companionship of other dogs, once they have been properly introduced. He has had some struggles with dog reactivity, but is doing great with training, and will only continue to improve with a consistent, patient, and strong owner. He has not spent much time inside around cats, but is comfortable seeing and walking near them while on outside. When it comes to care, Oswald is fine with a quiet day inside, but also loves to get out, whether it’s the beach or a local walking trail. On walks, he's a model of composure, walking wonderfully on leash and very responsive to corrections. In essence, Oswald is an absolute sweetheart just looking for his forever people. Story
Samantha | 1.5 years old | 70lbs Hey there, my name is Samantha, Sam for short! I was hand-picked by K9s For Warriors in October of 2024, and passed all my initial testing with flying colors! I’m a lovable bundle of joy with a playful spirit and a heart full of affection. I love rolling around with my toys and eagerly bringing them to my favorite humans for a fun game of tug. I’m silly, smart, and very eager to please when it comes to preforming my basic cues. I’m sure to brighten every moment with my charming personality! I can easily be described as a social butterfly; every human is my friend. As for dogs, I have successfully made a few friends here and would be open to a friend that matches my energetic playstyle and size! I am crate trained, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, familiar with most of my basics, and would love to continue learning with you! If you are considering adopting Sam, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Story
We got Milo, our 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog, as a puppy during COVID from a family rehoming their dogs litter. He has been a very loyal and emotional companion, especially during some difficult seasons in our family. He's extremely affectionate with his people and very in tune with emotions; often curling up next to whoever is sad or stressed. Milo is also a very anxious dog, especially around other dogs outside of our home (he does well with our other dog but reacts fearfully and aggressively toward unfamiliar dogs). We're looking for a home where Milo can have space, structure, and ideally limited exposure to other dogs; maybe even land or a quieter environment where he doesn't have to feel on edge. Someone with patience and an understanding of anxious or sensitive dogs would be a great fit. Adjectives I'd use to describe Milo: loving, sensitive, loyal, anxious, protective, quirky, smart, sweet.
