Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Landon - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello all you fabulous people out there!! My name is Landon and I'm here looking for a home, a family, one to call my very own. And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that it means you might consider making me a part of yours!! I'm a youngster yet of around 11 months and am very loving, affectionate and ready for playtime. I love to be on the go exploring this big ole world and would do best with an active family that would want to include me in their activities and adventures, anything from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting. I come in at about 45ish lbs. A pawsomely perfect medium size for those long walks, nature hikes, camping trips and of course those belly rubs I absolutely adore getting. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! Oh and guess what?! I'm already house trained! We can get right to the fun stuff...right away!! And....I'm learning some basic commands. I haven't had too much learning yet in my life, but I'm picking up new things very quickly. I already walk really well on or off the leash and know how to 'sit' and I am eager to learn so much more! I also love riding in the truck here at the rescue and will load right up to go see the sights!! I'm a very gentle soul that does pawsome with people both tall and small and I'm also great with the other doggies! I would make a great playmate to either a 2 or 4 legged 'sibling' or a terrific sidekick as your one and only! I haven't had the pleasure meeting any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. I am so looking forward to being your FBF (furry best friend), your constant in this world, your heart beat at your feet!! If I sound like a perfect match for your home and lifestyle please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org Tail wags and puppy kisses, Landon 💖

Story
Flynn Ryder is a remarkable young Rhodesian Ridgeback who has overcome incredible challenges with grace and resilience. Despite losing his hind right leg to cancer at a young age, Ryder has not let this setback define him. His outgoing personality, intelligence, and overwhelming friendliness make him a joy to be around. Ryder's love knows no bounds, as he adores all animals and is quick to shower people with kisses. After a day full of adventures and play, Ryder's favorite thing to do is snuggle up with his loved ones. He is crate trained and has mastered basic obedience, showcasing his determination and eagerness to learn. Ryder was diagnosed with bone cancer which resulted in a rear leg amputation at 12 weeks old. He is currently showing no signs of cancer but it potentially could return at some point later in his life. The loss of his leg has never slowed him down, he has always been the happiest and sweetest of boys and can run just as fast, if not faster than the other dogs in his foster home. Ryder's foster describes him as the most affectionate and loyal companion she has ever met. He greets everyone with the sloppiest of kisses and is always wagging his tail. His ideal home would be an only pet home or a house that has another dog that likes to play. He does well on a leash and is almost completely potty trained and is crate trained. Ryder loves to go for car rides and to just be included. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire and my foster can plan for us to get together and meet! You can go to www.nttsars.com to fill out the questionnaire under "Available For Adoption" > How to Adopt". Someone will get back to you soon!!   As always, my adoption fees include Spay/Neuter, Microchipping, and Up to date vaccines (while in shelter).January 16, 2025, 12:38 am

Story
Meet Skipper: The Goodest Girl Nobody’s Adopted (Yet)Skipper is a two-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with model-level looks and the personality of your funniest, most loyal bestie—all wrapped up in 46 lbs of snuggle-ready perfection. She’s house and crate trained, currently mastering the fine art of “sit” and “stay”, and will do literally anything for a treat (including pretend she knows tricks she definitely doesn’t).Here’s the sad part (cue tiny violin): Skipper has been with the rescue for almost a year. That’s 365 days of watching other dogs leave while she sits there like, “Cool cool, I’ll just... wait.”Skipper needs a kind, patient human who understands that trust takes time. But once you’re in? You’re her person for life. She’ll follow you around, make you laugh daily, and curl up next to you like she’s always belonged there.Loves: Walks, exploring, and being where the people are.Hates: Still waiting for her forever home.If you’ve got a couch to share and a heart ready for the most loyal love story ever, Skipper is your girl.Adopt her—because no one this awesome should still be waiting.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
