Joy Boy is an outgoing 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that is ready to find his forever home. A people pleaser, he enjoys visiting with all of the volunteers, staff, and visitors. His beaming smile is sure to melt hearts. Joy Boy has learned excellent leash walking skills and sits on command. He is highly treat motivated and has also learned the shelter’s agility course. Joy Boy is affectionate and eager to please his people. He is a medium energy dog that enjoys going on walks but it also content spending an afternoon lounging by your side. Joy Boy would like to meet any potential dog siblings first to make sure it is a match. This special guy is much loved by the volunteers and he has been waiting a long time for his forever family. Whether she’s frolicking in the play yard, rolling around in the mulch, or enthusiastically sniffing out every new scent, Melissa’s zest for life is truly infectious.Melissa has a special talent for making new friends, though she might take a moment to warm up to new people or situations. Thanks to her graduation from the Shy Dog Program, she’s learned to navigate her shyness with grace and patience. When she’s comfortable, she’s all about belly rubs—she’ll happily roll over and invite you to give her a good scratch.While Melissa enjoys her walks, she does have a tendency to pull a bit. Luckily, a harness helps keep her strides in check, allowing her to enjoy her outdoor adventures with ease. Meet Spankee! Spankee visited a local high school (watch the video below!) and the students had the following things to say about her: Spankee is 50 lbs according to her paperwork, and about one years old. She enjoyed being pet by us. She knew sit, and we worked with her on learning paw and down- she almost got them! Spankee likes treats, and is trainable. Spankee was a little shy with some of us, but liked cuddling with others! We hope you adopt her!https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTL718vNL/What my volunteers say about me: Spankee walks well on leash and takes treats gently. She is sweet and enjoys cuddling. She might prefer being the only dog in the house, and a meet and greet would be needed if you already have a pet at home. Spankee rides well in the car.
