Story
**Note: Hanee is currently in Korea but we are looking for her forever home in Toronto. Her flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for August 19. Background: Hanee is one of the 21 dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea, this spring. Since then, she has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house. Personality and Socialization: Hanee is calm and gentle. She's easy-going and very submissive, making her a great companion for a peaceful home. Hanee gets along well with other dogs and does well in a quiet environment. Her gentle nature makes her a perfect friend for anyone looking for a loving and calm dog. Behaviors: Hanee is a calm learner who enjoys pleasing her humans. She’s fine with car rides, baths, and nail clipping, patiently allowing her humans to take care of her. Hanee walks well on a leash and likes to follow her humans around. While she doesn’t have experience with cats or young children, her gentle disposition suggests she could adapt well with the right introduction. Health: Hanee is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She also takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites. She’s a healthy girl, ready to bring peace and love to her forever home. Ideal Home: Hanee’s ideal adopter is someone who appreciates a calm and gentle companion. Whether you work from home or are retired, Hanee will be a loyal and loving presence. A quiet home where she can receive all the attention, love, and care she deserves would be perfect for her. If you’re looking for a serene, affectionate companion who will fill your life with gentle joy, Hanee is the dog for you. Adopt Hanee and let her be a calm, loving addition to your family! ------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/hanee/

Story
FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOMES NEEDED!! ***Please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form*** We would love to welcome Butch into the Fetch + Releash family September 15th (subject to change). In order for Butch to come into our care, we need a committed family. As a foster-to-adopt family, you'll be expected to take him home on his arrival date. You will then have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found. Each bio was created by our rescue partners based on their interactions with the dogs. Fetch + Releash has a full disclosure policy however we cannot guarantee a dog against parasites or diseases, nor can we guarantee a dog's nature/behaviour. Many of these dogs are coming directly from the shelter and so you should expect there to be a transitional period. Be prepared to deal with common issues like potty training, leash walking, and socialization. Cat and kid safety assessments are often based on their personality and not necessarily on actual interactions. Where possible, the majority of vetting will be completed prior to coming to Canada, however, foster-to-adopt families may be required to travel to our partner vet in Mississauga, ON for further vet care. During your foster-to-adopt trial, you'll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit. Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Butch / Male / 11 months / 66 pounds / Ridgeback Mix / Laid Back / Great Family Dog / from Tennessee Meet Butch, a handsome young hunk seeking a bright forever future in Canada. They say good things come in big packages…no wait, that doesn’t sound right. Regardless, this big pup is an absolute delight and so docile for his age suggesting he will likely stay a very mellow dude. Butch gets along great with other dogs and listens attentively. He currently shares a run with another dog who is much higher energy and is very tolerant of him. He will engage in play but tires quickly. He is not a high energy pup, after a play session he enjoys just hanging out or taking a snooze. He is very laid back for such a young dog. He's quiet, seldomly barks, making him an excellent companion for any type of household. If landing in a home with another dog we suggest feeding separately as he tends to hog his food. Due to his food loving and lazy nature it is advised to watch his weight to ensure he stays in a healthy range. Living a life outdoors will come with some adjustments once he arrives in his new home. He will need training with housebreaking, crate training, and mastering leash walking. His eagerness to please and love for attention will make the process smooth. Butch will benefit from at least two walks daily plus opportunity to go to the bathroom and playtime to keep him mentally stimulated. Butch is a social pup who has been around children, dogs and cats and enjoys soaking up all the attention he can get. He would make a great addition to any family with dog-savvy kids and cats. His friendly demeanor towards other dogs suggests he would thrive in a multi-dog home, but he would also be content as the only dog, basking in the love of his new family. Butch’s is dreaming of a family that will shower him with love, are you his perfect match? Butch tested positive for Ehrlichia which is a common tick-borne disease that stays in the bloodstream for many years. This has been treated, and moving forward regular yearly bloodwork would be recommended. Although this should not cause any issues moving forward, it's important that if Butch required surgery or a dental, pre-operative blood work (CBC+Platelet count) are completed beforehand. If you’re interested in fostering with the intention of adopting, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Butch's adoption fee is $850.
