Story
Cosmo is a young ball of energetic love. He is currently 2yrs old. House trained. Knows basic commands. He needs a family that has the time to give him for cuddles, walks, etc. I live alone and work full time. Unfortunately I don’t have the time he deserves, and I want to see him go to a family/home where he will be happier. He’s good with cats (might take him some time to adapt to new feline friends), and with kids. He is very loyal and will follow you wherever you go. Loves car rides and nature walks. Barks at noises he can’t see when he think it’s a danger to his owner, but will then lick and hug whoever it is once he sees there is no danger. Makes a great guard dog.

Meet Pac Man! Pac Man was pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program. Pac Man was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at an extremely overcrowded and underfunded urban shelter Pac Man is a 2 month old mixed breed who is full of happiness for his second chance at life! He came in with his brother (Bolt) and Mom (Peaches). Mama peaches is absolutely phenomenal, and we can only imagine her sons will be as incredibly sweet and tempered. Read more about their story when we introduce Peach later this week. Meet Peach! Peach is very excited to go to her forever home to play fetch. She is so good at fetch that she has learned how to play fetch by herself! If you have the opportunity to meet Peach this is a trick you will definitely want to see. When she is finished playing she will definitely want some snuggle time; she is one of the sweetest dogs ever! Peach was pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program. She was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at an extremely overcrowded and underfunded urban shelter. We were honored to step in and give this mama and her 2 puppies a happy ending. Peach is a 3 year old boxer mixed breed who is simply wonderful! She came in with her two puppies (Pac Man and Bolt) after they were surrendered to the shelter by the next door neighbor. Peaches and her puppies had been living outside in their backyard all alone, after their former owner was arrested by the police. The next door neighbor had been feeding them, but decided they needed a real home and brought them into the shelter. Mama Peaches is absolutely phenomenal! She is easy going, sweet, has great manners in her foster home. She is very dog and people friendly, and greets anyone with a tail wag. Meet Tommie: Tommie is about a 4 year old (as of November 2024) Black Mouth Cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 45 pounds. Tommie was found on the side of the highway picking at a chicken bone. The rescuer (now her foster) pulled over, shook a bag of beggin strips and right in the car she went!  Tommie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Tommie is a very sweet and loyal dog. She doesn’t bark and does so well with other dogs and kids! Tommie is not housebroken but she does well in her crate so we don’t think it would take long for her to figure out the process. We would love for Tommie to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Tommie is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Duke:  Duke is a beautiful 2 year old Catahoula/Asian Shepherd mix that weighs around 40 lbs. Duke was abandoned when his owner was arrested and sent to prison. Duke was then living on the streets trying to survive. Duke is now safe and being fostered in the Birdsboro, PA area and would love to meet his forever family! Duke is a very sweet boy, gets along with other dogs, children, and loves people.  Duke is housetrained and loves riding in a car. Duke loves the affection of people and enjoys going for long walks and hikes. Duke would love a fenced in yard where he could run and play. Duke would make a great family dog.
