Story
My name is Anna and I am a beautiful 6 year old 64 pound Rottweiler mix, with the emphasis on mix. There have been lots of guesses as to my breed, but I definitely do not care about any of that because if someone asked me, I’d say my breed is TERRIFIC! If you are expecting a guard dog Rottweiler-acting dog, I am not that gal! I am gentle and easy going. I came in to the county as a stray with a pretty nasty sore on my side that needed medical attention, so I was whisked into the excelent care of Forever Loved. Turns out I have Valley Fever, and I am currently being treated for it. I had surgery to repair the sore, and I am just as beautiful as ever again! I have been in a foster home with a wonderful human and I have been so well behaved in her home. I am house trained, gentle, very quiet, and some of my favorite things are laying in the sun with a nice chew bone, hanging with you, lounging on a comfy bed, or going on an easy walk or “sniffari”. I know my basic commands, and I’m treat motivated. I am great riding in the car, and you can even take me on road trips because I am so good anywhere I go. I am good with kids, but haven’t been around too many other dogs. I met a nice small guy and although he was cute, I left him alone. Some dogs I see while on leash actually scare me. Speaking of scary things, cars whizzing by me and traffic noise and chaos make me stop in my tracks and want to back away. Hopefully you will have a nice yard for me to enjoy! Do I sound like the gal for you? Please apply to meet me and we can enjoy life together!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Panda was adopted at 2 months old by a loving family who unwittingly nurtured all her worst qualities. This resulted in an insecure and entitled dog who behaved poorly in the home. Since being surrendered back to Paw Placement at 2 years old, Panda has come a long way. She's currently in a home with multiple dogs, lots of structure and calm, assertive leadership. Panda plays with dogs of all sizes and ages, she's gentle when necessary and can get rowdy with dogs who enjoy a rougher play style. She loves to chew bones and antlers, and rarely displays her resource guarding tendencies these days. She'll do best in a home that sets boundaries - no dogs on the couch, lie down while people are eating - and is willing to enforce those boundaries. She walks nicely on a leash, is mastering her obedience (sit, down, place, etc) and is crate and house trained. Panda has some stranger danger, has done well meeting people who initially ignore her, and has been ready to receive affection from them within 15 minutes or so. She's the same with new dogs and, though she loves dogs and thrives with them in a home with strong leadership, in the absence of that leadership, she'll need a home where she's the only pet. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 6:22 pm

Story
When we imagine the life of a senior dog; it would look like several cozy places to lay, the finest foods and meds to help support an aging body, daily walks, car rides to your favorite places and endless amounts of love; like a lot of love. Unfortunately for Baxter, at 9 years old, he found himself in an overcrowded shelter, on a concrete floor and with an injury and skin/coat issues. We were absolutely crushed when we learned that the only way for Baxter to walk out of the shelter alive is if he had a rescue to back him. Not only did our rescue back him; we promised him the life he has always deserved! Baxter has been an amazing dog to rehab. His wounds have healed, his skin and coat are soft and shiny, and he has put on healthy weight! We have learned that Baxter’s love language is food and for that reason feel that a home with no children or older children 16+ would be best. Baxter is very tall and strong and would prefer a family that is not intimidated by that because underneath that big body is one of the sweetest hearts you will ever meet. He really enjoys being around his people, rides great in the car, walks well on a leash and is a social butterfly. Baxter hasn’t spent too much time around other dogs in our care but from what we have seen, he would do well as the only dog or with other dogs that do not want to play or jump on him. He enjoys keeping to himself and playing with his favorite toys! We hope you are ready to meet this gentle giant and give him what he most deserves...A HOME! Baxter’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exams, vaccines, microchip and neuter. Apply today to meet his handsome man! https://lovethemallrescue.org/baxter

Story
PLAYFUL. ENERGETIC. SWEET. Eddy is lovable hunk of a dog that just loves to meet new people, go to new places and get his daily walk in! He was found as a stray and taken to a nearby veterinary hospital by a good Samaritan before coming into our care. This sweet and silly boy is very smart and trainable. Eddy has been hard at work learning basic commands, leash and door manners, and crate- and house-training. With his training coming along well, he is finally ready to find his forever home! Eddy will need to be the one and only king of your castle with no other dogs or small animals in the home. He loves people, but he is a larger boy who doesn’t always know his size, so older children or an adult-only home would be ideal. With his energy level, he would love a more active family who could give him a daily walk and continue his training. Eddy’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exams, vaccines, neuter and microchip. To meet this loving, playful giant who is so excited to find his perfect forever home, apply here: https://lovethemallrescue.org/adopt

SWEET, Rottie Girl Seeks Home for the HolidaysAll dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox just south of interstate 10. It is approximately 1 hour east of Tucson and 2 1/2 hours from Tempe. Please contact Carrie at fedwellfarm@yahoo.com or 602-316-8919 (no texts please) Sweets, whose official name she came to Fedwell Farm was changed to Sweets from CutieFly as she is the sweetest! Our volunteer suggested the name and Sweets just responded with a big grin. Sweets was picked up as a stray by the county animal control and when no one came to claim her, Fedwell Farm was asked if we would help her. We are so happy we did. She is a magnificent, sweet and wonderful girl. Sweets is approximately 5 years old. She weighs approximately 82 pounds. Sweets is very scared in new situations. She hangs back and waits for things to settle and then she is your best friend forever! Sweets walks well on a leash and just wants a family to love her. We are not 100 percent sure she is a Rottie mix, but we believe so. We specialize in herding dogs and hounds. Please come meet Sweets!!!!! She just wants a family to feel safe and loved. We would love to have Sweets in a home for the upcoming holidays! 602-316-8919 (no texts please)November 3, 2024, 7:21 am

SWEET SENIOR ROTTIEAll dogs are located in south east Arizona between Benson and WILLCOX. It is approximately 2 1/2 hours from Tempe or one hour east of Tucson. Randy is a wonderful 7 year-old, 85 pound Rottweiler. I believe he is purebred but since I don’t know anything about Rottweiler‘s, he may be mixed. I am not sure! Nevertheless, he is a wonderful boy that must’ve come from a good home. He seemed to have been picked up as a stray and, one of our people noticed how well trained he is. He’s housebroken, he gets along with most dogs, but he’s better with girl dogs. Randy will be a wonderful dog for biking, hiking, running, jogging or just cuddling up on the sofa, which is his favorite sport Randy would make an excellent family dog! Randy came from a large shelter and when nobody came to claim him, he was put up for adoption. Fedwell Farm was happy to have him, but we don’t know much about Rottweilers. Randy has been super easy and wonderful but he really would love to be in a home for the holidays. No dog deserves to be in the shelter during the holidays Please come meet Randy and give him that home he truly deserves. 602-316-8919January 12, 2025, 3:16 am

Story
Ready for a cuddle bug? My name is Bailey and I`m ready for a lifelong time of living the cozy life. Like any Rottweiler, I just want to be held and loved on, we`re big babies after all. I love it when my HALO friends take me to the grass so I can do my business, don`t worry though, a large lady like me doesn`t pull on the leash as I`d rather be by my handlers side. That being said, my new home must have a yard for me for play in with my new family. What are you waiting for? Come visit me at HALO!

Story
Hi! My name is Ruger, and I am a spunky, handsome, 4 year old, good doberboy looking for my furever family. I enjoy long walks on the beach, quiet nights at home with my family, a good meal, a warm bed and all the love I can get! If you are looking for a velcro Doberman, then look no further because this hunk of love likes to be right by your side. I am learning all about what it’s like to live in a nice warm (or cool in AZ) house. I enjoy the occasional bark at noises in the yard or things in the street, but it’s not excessive. I love to run in the yard and play with all of my toys. I especially love soccer balls! I am learning to be a good boy on a leash and love my weekly, medicated bath. I even jump in the bath tub all by myself. I will need someone who will be willing to continue my treatment for valley fever and give me a weekly bath (my fur was all gone but is slowly growing in). I like cats a little too much so I need to be in a cat free home. I need people who respect my space and I'm not sure I'd like tiny humans too much. I love my 12 year old human brother because he knows how to love me just the way I like it. I kind of like to be the boss of the other dogs so a slow intro is a must if I'm going to be around other dogs. I do get along well with my current doberbrother most of the time. I have been fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I know the perfect family is out there for me and I will patiently wait for you to find me. If you think I'm the one for you, please go to lovethemALLrescue.org/ruger to learn more and apply to adopt. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Dawn’s story began in a neighborhood in El Paso, Texas, where the stray dog population was overwhelming, and sadly, some people were intentionally harming these vulnerable animals. When we heard about the heartbreaking loss of numerous dogs in the area, we knew we had to act. We hit the road to meet Dawn and bring her to safety. When we finally met Dawn, her timid eyes and cautious demeanor spoke volumes about the hardships she had faced. We gently loaded her and a few of her companions into the car and set off on the long road back to Arizona, knowing we were giving her a second chance at life. This 8-month-old Doberman/Shepherd mix is shy and reserved, but beneath her hesitation is a heart full of hope. Since arriving, Dawn has had professional training going through a 5-week Board + Train to help her build confidence and trust. She has made amazing progress and continues to impress us with how much she has learned. While she takes things slowly, each moment of progress reveals more of her gentle spirit and quiet resilience. Now, Dawn is ready to find a loving, patient home where she can feel safe and grow at her own pace. If you have a soft spot for gentle souls and want to see Dawn blossom in a home full of love, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. We’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet and help Dawn find the forever family she truly deserves.
