Mia is a 3.5-year-old, black and tan rottweiler mix, and weighs 55pounds. She came in as a stray from the Zephyrhills area and she was very Pregnant. She has since weaned her 8 babies and is now looking for a furever home of her very own. Mia is possibly one of the sweetest pups in the rescue and has become a staff favorite. She loves her walks around the property and is amazing on leash, she is very quiet in her run, but gets very excited when she see's "one of her people" If you like big lapdogs, she is the perfect girl for you. She would do best in a home without small children and even though she rarely reacts to other dogs, we are pretty sure she would prefer to have all your attention to herself. She loves playing playing fetch and being sprayed with the hose. You never know, she might even like a pool. Meet Reba, a delightful female Rottweiler mix with a loving personality and a zest for life! Reba is a smart and affectionate companion who knows several commands like "sit," "shake," "inside/go inside," and "wait." She's working on mastering "leave it" and extends her waiting time before coming on command. She’s not food aggressive and takes treats gently from your hand. Reba has a unique taste for bananas and seedless mandarin oranges! She sleeps soundly in her crate and stays calm when left alone, showing no signs of separation anxiety. Reba enjoys her walks and is generally good on a leash. While she might pull a bit if she spots a lizard, squirrel, or cat, a gentle tug and the "leave it" command usually do the trick. She loves exploring the backyard, especially hunting for lizards, so she might need some redirection at times. Reba is friendly towards men and women and would likely do well with older kids due to her energy level. She hasn't had the chance to interact with children yet. She loves being near her humans, often following them around the house and staying close by. Though she hasn't shown much interest in toys, she enjoys playing fetch and is always eager for some fun. Meet Theo He is a very loveable Rottie! The Rottie looks with a SUPER sweet personality great for any experience level. He was a transfer to us from another rescue and is looking for that wonderful home. He was found as a stray and no one came forward to claim him, but we will not let him dwell on his past. This sweet and loving guy is the perfect cuddle bug and would love a family to call his own before the end of the year! He is house trained, crate trained, good with kids over the age of 10 (Has not been tested around children under 10) He is a super sensitive guy and is great for someone who has experience in dogs who need that perfect home to open up and flourish! We will be offering continuing training if you are within 50 miles of us and a discounted rate. He is Neutered, UTD on Vaccinations, Microchipped, Heartworm Negative, and will go home with a supply of heartworm meds. Contact us today for more information! Meet lovely, sweet Rose! She is such an affectionate, grateful, and happy girl. She loves playing fetch and she would have a toy in her mouth 24/7 if she could! She has the perfect pup smile and lights up any time you give her a head rub or pick up a toy to play with her. She would love a fenced in yard where she can run and play fetch with you. She loves going for walks and car rides. Sweet Rose loves to cuddle with humans and Iris on the couch (they might even lay on each other to get closer to you). She’s interested in cats but may scare them due to her excited nature. Meet beautiful Iris! She has a sweet, gentle nature and loves to play and wrestle with Rose. Iris needs a patient, understanding home with a predictable routine. She can be a little skittish in new or unfamiliar environments, but she has shown that she warms up to people rather quickly. She has the most expressive eyes and the cutest deer-tail (her little, excited tail wiggles are the best). She’s incredibly intelligent and learns quickly; she’d benefit from constant enrichment to build her confidence. He was found abandoned at a camp ground and then was brought in at a rural shelter in Alabama. We were contacted by one of their volunteers to help save him. Echo truly is a shining star! He enjoys playing with other dogs, and he has a rough play style. He loves to fetch and if his ball rolls under the couch- he can usually get it without help. He is very athletic! He can jump high and climb things. He is working on his house manners and respecting what are toys and what are not toys. He needs to have strong leadership in his household and breed experience. He has come a long way with his leash manners and is doing well with heal, sit, down and stay. He will receive further training from DNA dog training upon placement in a home to ensure he has fully mastered all the basics and his new owners can confidently transition his skills. Echo is vibrant and always down for an adventure. He is approved at Downtown Doggie Center where he goes once a week to make new friends his play style and stayed overnight while his foster parents were out of town. He does need to be crated when he is not supervised as he still has big puppy curiosity. Echo is also very loving and will sit in his foster mom’s lap and give kisses. He enjoys pets and being told what a good boy he is. Echo will make his future family very happy!
