Story
Rachel was dropped off and ended up near a volunteers house who ended up fostering her. We think she is a Rottweiler/American Bull Terrier/mix. She weighs about 35/40 pounds. She loves kids and people, but we suggest her being in a home with no other dogs as she is dog selective. Rachel is currently at a foster home and this is what the foster has to say about her: "She loves going on walks. She also likes hugs and gives doggie kisses. She'll make someone a excellent best friend. She will be eager to learn." If you are interested in Rachel or have any questions please call Leesa at: 256-706-2106 Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Amaya is a sweet girl. She was on an adventure when spotted and arrived to the shelter on 3/1. Amaya is 2 years old and weighs in at 62 pounds. This girl has a lot of love to give. She is on the shy side. She is quiet in her run. Would you give Amaya a chance at happily ever after? Ask for ID# 8443 Run 824. She will be spayed soon and micro-chipped upon adoption. Story
Introducing Mr. Oso! He came to the shelter on 3/8 because his former pet parents moved to a place that does not allow pets. We hurt for Oso because he is an awesome dog that deserves a second chance to live in a home that will welcome all pets and continue to have a wonderful life. Volunteers describe him as a nice dog who is absolutely gorgeous. He can be a bit strong on the leash but with an abundance of patience and steady, consistent leash training, he will have that mastered in no time at all! You just have to be committed to him fully everyday. We believe he does understand some simple commands but being in an unfamiliar place, he chose not to show off his mad skills. With a much quieter place and environment, he will blossom even more and be able to show you all of his talents. Mr. Oso is 4 years old and weighs a mere 80lbs. His former family did say that he is dog friendly and great with kids. We do not know how he feels about cats. If you have space in your heart and your home for this precious baby, then make some time in your life to come see him. He will be patiently waiting for you in Run 850 and ask for ID#8591. Oso is current on vaccines, will be neutered and microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know him a little better. Oso is probably what you have been looking for all this time. He is patiently waiting for him forever family to save his life.
