She is such a smart little girl and has excellent potential. Kaia weighs in at 40 lbs and is going to be a big girl. LEXIE – 1 year female. Lexie is still trying to understand why her owners surrendered her to a large municipal shelter. Give her a few minutes and treats and she will be your best buddy. Lexi is housebroken and crate trained. She does know some basic commands. Lexi would do best with another dog her size. (she has not been tested with small dogs or cats. She has met horses and goats though and did very well. Lexie is looking for a family that will give her time to adjust to her new home and surroundings. If there are children in her new family, we recommend they are over the age of 8. BIGGIE – 2 ½ year male. Rottie, possible Shepherd mix. Biggie is the cutest, sweetest boy. He is pretty chill, well behaved, excellent car rider, walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. He is also housebroken and crate trained and good with dogs his size (no small dogs or cats). With all these positives why would his family surrender him to a large municipal shelter? There his fate was sealed and, even though he is a mix, we could not let this wonderful boy be put down. Biggie is now ready for a new family and a new life. If there are children in his new family we recommend they are over the age of 5. Meet Hero, & that is exactly what this gentleman is. If you want the most mellow, relatable, genuine, level headed, backyard buddy that will never do anything except be your best friend & behave, this is him. Hero was at the shelter for months after being surrendered by his owner. He is kennel & house trained, mellow (& we mean mellow), gently, quiet, & is the dog you want to see sitting on the front porch. He is quiet & will never cause an issue. He is neutral to other dogs & does not care if they exist, or do not. This guy is just here to live a mellow life with his new family. Hero is going through heart worm treatment & doing well. In 60 days he will be totally normal & not be considered a heart worm positive dog. He has been gentle with everything & everyone he meets & is a true family dog. You do not see them like this anymore. This dog is a true gentleman & will never let you down. Consider this sweet man. Or we can just keep. him, either way. He is that special & wonderful.
