Story
Roxy, also known as Roxy Mae or Rox, is a sweet, curious, and energetic girl with lots of love to give. She is a 1 1/2 years old heeler mix (best guess). She is always ready to play fetch or go on an adventure, but is also happy to curl up on the couch for a long nap. She also loves to “help” with any household projects, and will stay by your side whether you’re washing dishes, doing laundry, or just hanging out. She loves playing with toys and is not afraid to make a mess with the stuffing. She also expects an ice cube every time you get a glass of water! She is a very quick learner and does extremely well in the car and in her kennel. She is potty trained and thrives with a daily routine. While she is a sweetheart, she can get overly excited around new people, and especially around other dogs. Although she has spent time around other dogs, she can be possessive of her food and toys and would be best as the only pet in the household. With a little training, Roxy has endless potential and would be a wonderful addition to any active family! Roxy's $300 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, and microchip registration. You can apply at  https://gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/ ##1769403##

Story
Hi I'm Bruno! Many of you may know I was dumped with my brother brownie in the country and these nice people saved me! I am a little shy at first because of not trusting people but after a few days I warm up fast! I find my person and stick to them like glue. I love to be outside and go for walks! I'm a stage 5 clinger and want to lay on the couch with you whenever I can! My brother is my best friend and the leader of the pack! Could you be my forever home? All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. Hi I'm brownie. If you're from the area, you may know my story if not listen to this! I was dumped in the country with my brother. I was alone for a week until these nice people rescued me. I was so scared but in just a few days I realized not all people are mean. I'm very loyal to my person and want to be with you all the time! As you can see, I'm a big fan of kids. I love long walks and laying by my person as much as I can. Can you give me my forever home? Story
Meet Bruce—a 152-pound Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as his size. At about 8 years old, Bruce is on a journey to shed some pounds, but he’s already a heavyweight champion when it comes to love and loyalty. Though he’s slow to warm up to new people, once Bruce feels comfortable, he’ll show you just how sweet and affectionate he truly is. Bruce knows a few tricks that never fail to impress: he can sit, shake, and even catch an airborne toy with precision. He’s house-trained but does have some incontinence issues, which could improve as he loses weight, though it might be a permanent condition. Bruce enjoys both indoor and outdoor activities, whether he's lounging in the yard, going for leisurely walks (he’s a pro on the leash!), or playing with his favorite toys. He’s also great in his crate and makes an excellent houseguest. Bruce would thrive in a home with kids over 10 who are gentle and respectful of his boundaries. A fenced yard would be a dream come true for Bruce, where he can soak up the sunshine and enjoy some outdoor playtime. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who’s ready to shower you with affection, Bruce is your guy. Apply to meet this sweet boy today and see why he’s sure to steal your heart! His minimum adoption fee is $295, plus a $15 fee for rabies registration if 4 months or older for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
