She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. Meet Lita! She is a very special girl..... She has a great capacity for love. She is crate and leash trained. She was found in Georgia out by the Macon state prison by one of the guards. They took care of her and her son for a time. They were later surrender to us to further her training and help them find permanent homes. Her son has found his forever home, and now it is miss Litas turn. Although she resides in Georgia she would be happy to make the trip up north for her very own furever home. she would love some bigger kids to play with or maybe a big back yard to run in.

Our veterinary partner estimates that Percy is 6 years old at the time of intake in June 2023. Percy is good with people and other dogs. Percy is the sweetest boy ever, yet that didn't stop some monster from dumping Percy by tossing him out of a car. Fortunately for Percy, he was tossed right into our rescue and he has now received the medical care he required for a nasty wound behind his ear. Maysie is a 5 year old specimen of a Rottie! Found as a 115lb lost dog, Maysie surprised us all with her gentle giant demeanor. It's not everyday we get a dog weighing in at triple digits as gentle as Miss Maysie! Maysie is very friendly with everyone she meets plus she even knows a few commands! Treats are her love language and she takes them very gingerly. Not dog tested yet, but Maysie appears quite calm and non-reactive around other dogs. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. He is currently on Simparica Trio and doing so well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this condition!

Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on.
