Story
Ace is a wonderful boy! He is absolutely the goofiest boy you will ever meet! He’s great with kids and a wonderful family dog! He does have a partial prey drive so for that I would steer clear if you have small animals such as cats. He is great with all dogs and becomes immediate friends with them. He does not have a mean bone in his body. I feel bad for having to re home him but due to unforeseen circumstances it’s what’s best for him at this time. I hope someone is out there that is willing to open their home to this sweet boy.

Story
Trooper is a very special boy who definitely lives up to his name. He was found suffering from numerous wounds from what is believed to be an attack from a wild animal. Trooper was treated at a local veterinarian’s office and lived there for approximately eight months while he recovered. While his body has healed, he still suffers from extreme levels of fear and anxiety. He has been making slow, steady progress during his stay with us and is moving towards being a more confident version of himself. Trooper is very fearful of men and environmental stimuli. He remains a high flight risk, and will require a fenced-in yard. He is best suited for a low stress environment with minimal distractions. He will need incremental exposure to new people and situations in order to overcome his fear. Once he warms up to you he is a big goof and loves to lay on the couch with you and receive pets. When you stop petting him he taps your arm until you start to pet him again. This boy has been through a lot but still just wants to be loved. If you have any questions about Trooper or think you can provide Trooper with the environment he needs, give us a call! Visit our adoption page for details about our process, and to fill out an adoption application.  All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped.  If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed.  If you have any questions about the animal, or our adoption process, please email adopt@littleguild.org.  The Little Guild is a 501c(3) federally recognized non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of homeless pets.  November 5, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
Adam is a 2 yr old, Rottweiler mix, he is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Adam is a playful and affectionate dog with much energy. He has a charming personality that really shines when he plays with his toys (he likes the squeak). However he can be frightened of loud noised and is leery of men. A calm home that is willing to let him open up in his own time would be best, and a home with children over the age of 10yrs old is recommended for Adam. He would do best in a home without cats, and will need basic obedience training as well as leash work. For more information on Adam please fill out an adoption application located on our website aws-shelter.org or please call us @ 860-354-1350.

Story
*Name: Cleo *Age: 2.5 years old *Current Weight: 63 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 Introducing Cleo Cleo is an absolute joy to be around, a great companion dog who is enjoys spending quality time with and getting doted on by her humans.  This girl is SUPER smart. According to her foster mom, she figured out in less than a week how to use bells to let her foster family know when she wants to go outside (sometimes to potty, other times just to enjoy the fresh air). Cleo is a beautiful rottie mixed breed. Everything wonderful about a Rottie is all wrapped up in this little girl. She is smart, loyal, totally bonds with her person, just wants to learn and is eager to please. Cleo enjoys playing fetch with pretty much any ball she can get her paws on, and she absolutely LOVES buckets. Yes, you read that correctly... buckets. This silly girl likes to stash her toy balls in a bucket, roll it around the yard, and toss it up into the air. It's equally hilarious as it is adorable to watch her have so much fun playing and entertaining herself (see the video). Cleo is the perfect balance of playfulness and affectionate, making her an ideal canine companion for an active family who enjoys the outdoors as well as quality downtime at home.  Cleo would love her forever home to have a yard (ideally fenced in) to run around freely in. But most of all, she’s looking for a forever family to shower her with all the love and attention she deserves... Could that be you? Cleo is currently looking for a foster or adopter and is located at our adoption center in Brewster, NY!
