Story
Name: Samantha Breed: Rottweiler Age/Sex: ~2020, FS Health Concerns: None at this time Good with: Breed experienced, responsible teenagers NO DOGS. NO CATS. NO DOG PARKS Samantha is an exuberant young girl, who is ready to start the best chapter of her life! She was found as a stray, so she's starting a fresh new page, and is writing her own history. Samantha is very confident, and forward. She does not appear to have received much training in her previous life, and is working hard on understanding concepts such as impulse control, and leash pressure. She is strong, and used to throwing her weight around to get what she wants. She is doing very well with her crate training, though can be destructive if bored. She cannot have soft bedding material, a Kuranda style bed is best. Samantha has excellent food and toy drive, and will play for hours. She loves the water, and everything is fun and exciting. This is no couch potato girl, she's an active working girl, and she knows it! She enjoys working for her ball, has been introduced to disc rollers, and is always up for learning something new. She is very green, and easy to take in any direction. Samantha has shown some selectivity with people, but with proper intros, and some food, is easily bribed. Staying on top of her training to ensure good choices, is key. If you get lax with her, she will absolutely take it, and run with it. Due to her nature and forward personality, homes with teenagers that can be actively involved in her training, and are comfortable establishing boundaries with a powerful, guardian breed, will be considered. Samantha has made it quite clear that she does not want to share her personal space with other pets. She can be neutral, but will get very forward and aggressive, if they enter her space. She has done very well learning to be neutral, and with continued management, should be fine in a wide variety of sporting environments. Samantha is a fabulous rottweiler, very green, and ready to go in any direction. She is a joy to work with, and very affectionate with her person. Story
*BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** Name: Hans Breed: Rottweiler Weight: approx. 100lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Neutered Age: 5 years old Medical (shots etc): UTD Good with dogs: No Good with cats: No Good with kids: No Good with strangers: No Guarding Issues: yes, has resource guarding with toys, bones, food and beds. Can be managed no problem. House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Destructive: No Leash skills: Great! Okay with manipulations: Yes Known commands: Sit, stay, no, drop it, down, paw Behaviour Issues: Hans is a great dog once he knows and trust you. He has stranger danger. Therefore, he needs to meet someone several times before he is not reactive to them. Other Observations: Once Hans trust you, he's a big goofy guy. Who loves to play, chase and snow is his favorite thing to role in and eat. Hans cannot go to a hectic household or with many people in the home. He would be best suited for an older couple who's very experienced with the breed and his behavior issues. Not for a novice owner. Hans will bond with his people and will be protective. He is great on a leash, loves being outside. He doesn't really bother with dogs outside his kennel, but is reactive to dogs in his kennel. His resource guarding is quite bad and he cannot have toys, bones or beds and blankets. We do give him raw bones at dinner time in his crate so by morning it's all gone and his aggression isn't there. Food aggression is bad as well. He gets fed in his crate, will sit and give paw before we feed him. Once the bowl is down, if anyone is near him, he will growl. Best to leave him eat in his crate. Being Rottweiler means he is strong, and smart. I talk to him often and he enjoys conversations while on walks on getting some cuddle time. Hans will be an amazing dog with the right people. He has tons if love to give and loves his people. For a dog who is 3, he still has tons of play energy to interact with his people. If you're looking for a dog who will be loyal and protective, but also have a soft side, Hans is your man!

Story
Nolan / Male / Approx. 10 months / 56 lbs / Rottweiler Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / No Cats Please / From Tennessee/ Fostered in Scarborough Meet Nolan! Nolan’s foster describes him as a sweet and goofy boy. He was surrendered with his sister to our partner in Tennessee and is now living with his fosters in Scarborough. In typical puppy fashion, he has a lot of energy and sometimes gets the zoomies. He loves to play with toys and chew on bones, but is also happy cuddling on the couch. His favourite toys are those that squeak. He can often be found happily pouncing around with his squeaky toys. Nolan is a little bit timid around new people, but warms up quickly and loves his trusted people. He is friendly, excitable, and affectionate when with his trusted people. Nolan has met some kids at events, and shows interest in them. His fosters believe that he could make a great family dog. His gentle nature seems indicative of being good with children. Of course, a proper meet and greet as well as respectful children will ultimately determine this. He would do well in most situations. Like many dogs, he would love a backyard to run around in, but is also content in most homes as long as his mental and physical needs are met. Nolan is very social with other dogs and would make a great addition to a family with a resident dog. He has not been tested with cats but does show some prey drive on walks towards squirrels and other small animals. For that reason, we think he’d do best in a home that is cat free. He gets two 45 minute walks per day, as well as plenty of backyard time for his zoomies. Still a puppy, Nolan is working on manners but is quick to learn and is food motivated. If he is properly exercised and given lots of enrichment, he is very well behaved. A smart boy-Nolan loves food related puzzles and games. He is potty trained and has not yet had an accident in the house. Nolan has not been left alone yet during the day. At night, he sleeps in his own room in his crate with the door open. He whines for a few minutes but settles quickly after that. Overall, Nolan is a pretty awesome goofy little guy. He would fit in well with many different types of families. If you’re interested in adopting Nolan, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Nolan’s adoption fee is $900.
