Story
River is a 7 month old Rottweiler Lab mix currently weighing 45 pounds. He is neutered, house trained, and crate trained. He knows all basic commands (sit, stay, come, fetch, lay down, etc.) He currently sleeps in his crate throughout the night and does very well. He does good on a leash. He loves car rides, the outdoors, soaking up sunshine, playing fetch, sleeping, and especially toys! He will try to carry 3 toys at once. He does not like anybody in his vicinity while he’s eating, doesn’t enjoy baths very much, and doesn’t like small dogs. He’s had one interaction with a cat and didn’t react, but unsure how he would be living with one. He would be best living with larger breeds, no small animals, children 10 years or older, and a fenced in yard to run freely. He is super adorable and a very smart puppy! He learns new tricks and commands very quickly. If River sounds like a perfect fit for you, please fill out an application today! www.charliescrusaders.org CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Care in Windsor, PA 17366 Kennel License #17584 ##2050756##

Story
Meet Toby: Toby is about a 1 year old (as of February 2025) Rottweiler mix that weighs about 90 pounds. Toby came wandering out of the woods in Pennsylvania near a volunteer's home. They tried to find his owners but no one came forward. Toby is currently in a foster home in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. Toby is a super friendly boy and likes to snuggle up. Toby loves playing fetch with balls and toys. Toby did awesome on a hike with a leash. Toby has been really great with a 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl that he has been around. Toby likes other dogs. Toby is a big boy and wants to play with other dogs, but they can sometimes get intimidated. Toby is not aggressive at all and he doesn’t growl, but he jumps up and is overly eager to play with doggie playmates, so he will need an appropriate matched playmate. Toby loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Toby is a smart pup - he can sit, lay down and stay on command. Toby will need a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Toby is getting up to date on his shots and has an appointment to be neutered. If you are interested in giving this big bubba a great home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Story
The name Casper can be traced back to the “Old Testament” meaning “TREATSURE”! I’m truly a Treasure, I’m Casper, a 1 year old boy that is gentle demeanor, “Smart as a Whip”, Well behaved and have a Fantastic Temperament. At about 60#, I’m 1 of “7” pups turned in at a shelter. Scared and afraid, we only had each other. Lucky for us,” Molly’s Place Rescue” stepped up and brought us into rescue. Our sisters were adopted, but my “2” brothers and I are still here, waiting for “Just the right person/family”. My photo does not do me justice. I’m white with short wiry hair on my face and a little tan circle around one eye and a few tan dots on my ears. These areas will probably darken up as I mature more and fill out. My eyes are deep, dark and endearing! Thought to be a Boxers and Border Terriers mix, I’ve inherited the best of both very intelligent breeds. They are also known for being very people oriented, affectionate and great family pets. We LOVE OUR PEOPLE! I’m great with other dogs, CATS, adults and Even KIDS! Heck, what more do you want? Although I still have some learning, my temperament is soft, calm and initially shy. Once in my comfort zone, I do warm up quickly befriending all who will take “my paw”! No experience needed for me, not even a fenced yard. Walks, rides or a game of Fetch will help me learn and bond with you for life. I’m Casper and I’m waiting to be “YOUR TREASURED Boy”! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Story
Hello there! I’m called “Bumble”. You know, the Gigantic, white furred Yeti with long pointed fangs in the movie “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer”! NO, just Kidding! I am Bumble, BUT a lover of all things. Young, old, humans, other dogs and even cats! I’m a humble boy who loves to play, fetch, eager to please and even tempered! Shy at first when out of my comfort zone, I do warm up quick and give/take affection freely. At just 1 year old, about 60#, I do have a lot to learn. Having been 1 of “7” turned into a shelter at a young age, we stayed huddled close for strength. Scared and unsure of the future, Molly’s Place stepped in and brought us to rescue. Although my sisters, “4”, have been adopted, we “3” boys are still looking for just the right home to call our own. I’ve heard “Good things come to those that wait!” Well, I know there is a plan for my future and I’m a patient boy in nature yet ready anytime to meet my special family. Looking at my brothers, I must say I am the MOST HANSOME of the 3! Snowy white, wiry hair around my face, deep dark expressive eyes, black button nose and a smile that can light up the night when playing and romping. Being “Goofy” comes natural to me, but thought to be Boxer/Border Terrier mix, I do have intelligence and brain power to learn be trained. No fenced in yard required nor prior dog experience required, just down and dirty time, Love to give and experiences to allow me to be the best I can be. How about meeting. I’m Bumble, and I’ll “Bee” all you want me to “Bee” and more! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org.
