Story
Egypt is a 57 lb 3 year old boxer mix female according to her Ga shelter records, but we believe she looks more like a Rottweiler mix! She is now spayed and vaccinated her once we pulled her from the kill shelter along with a little dog she came in with! She is very sweet and friendly with people and others dogs! We will be cat testing her! She is heartworm and Lyme negative! She is microchipped now! Likes to play! Great dog! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Egypt please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief (5 minutes) application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org. ##2129193##

Story
We could all learn a little bit from Nezuko about resilience, trust and new beginnings. She's overcome a lot in her short 3 years, including having puppies, living in a home with 40+ other animals, and then suffering complications after her spay surgery. We're so happy and proud of her for overcoming all that and showing us her true, wonderful self. She's healthy, happy and will make someone a beautiful best friend. Nez, a Rottweiler mix, is still a little wary when she first meets someone new. She's good-natured, curious and vocal at times, but she's just saying hello! She gets a little excited on the leash but walks well overall. She's choosy about dog friends and requests and meet and greet with any potential canine siblings. Cats wouldn't be a great fit. She lived with kids in her previous home and we were told her adored them. Nez is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Story
What we've learned about Eli recently: He's a GREAT hiking buddy, and he's a total ladies man. Eli was lucky enough to go with one of our volunteers on her women-only hiking outing, but they graciously allowed this handsome hunk to join in! No surprise, everyone fell in love with him. He was such a good boy, so friendly and loving, and was great on the trail. What's more, Eli has also been moonlighting as an office greeter at the shelter, where he loves getting pets, taking naps and playing with toys. We really can't say enough how sweet and calm, yet friendly and playful he is. Eli is on the younger side, maybe 3-4, and likely a Rottweiler mix. He's good with cats and other dogs (though he'd like a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings) and kids. He knows how to sit, is great walking on the leash and keeps his kennel tidy. And, he's great at alerting when he needs to go out, and is quick to do his business. Basically, he's an all-around great guy! Eli is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.
