Story
Hey there! I'm Major, a 4-year-old Rottweiler-Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give. My journey brought me to this wonderful shelter after I wandered into someone's yard. Despite extensive efforts to find my previous owners, no one came forward. So now, I'm on the lookout for my forever home! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm a well-behaved, potty-trained pup who loves to play and have fun. I'm also great at letting you know when someone is visiting – you'll never miss a guest with me around! My friendly nature and boundless energy make me a fantastic companion for any family. Plus, I'm already neutered and up to date on all my vaccines, so I'm all set to join my new family right away. I have so much love left to give, and I'm ready to share it with my new family. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, come meet me today! I can't wait to find my forever family and start our new adventure together. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 #AdoptMajor #ForeverHome #RescueDog Contact Information: For more details or to arrange a meet-and-greet with Major, please contact us at: Email: adopt@orangeburgspca.org or aro.spca@outlook.com Phone: 803-536-3918 Address: 225 Rud Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118 Website: orangeburgspca.org Facebook: Orangeburg SPCA Instagram: @orangeburgspca_  October 26, 2024, 2:55 am

Story
Meet Polly *Waived Adoption Fee Polly was found back in May of 2022 in the middle of a busy highway, eating a cardboard moving box in the rain. She was emaciated, her eyes were badly infected, and her hair was patchy... where she had hair it was very thin and badly damaged. However, she was as sweet as pie and just wanted love and food. During her recovery, she blew out her coat and now has a luscious thick coat that anyone would love. Polly has had a very hard life so far, but you would never know it with her sweetheart attitude. She is happy to follow you around and has good off-leash manners. She has become accustomed to her routine in her foster home. She is very smart and is house and crate-trained. She does well on the leash and has obedience training. She is also quiet and will let you know when she needs to go potty with a single bark. Polly would be happy to spend all of her time with you, relaxing. Due to Polly’s difficult life up until this point, we think she would be best in a only-dog home. Polly does have aches and pains at times due to arthritis. It is manageable with joint supplements and carprofen on select bad days. For this reason we do recommend a child free home although she's been amazing with kids. She should go to an experienced owner who understands her breed and her health limitations. As her back can hurt, she understandably needs a break, especially if she is very active that day. She does not like people in her face. Polly is a very loving and intelligent dog. She will go to her crate when she needs a break but loves to be loved. Please consider giving Polly the wonderful home that she truly deserves.

Honey – The Sweetest Pup at Lucky Paws Rescue! Location: Lucky Paws Rescue Inc, Sumter, SC Born: 1/5/2025 Breed: Rottweiler (Mom) & Dachshund (Dad) Mix Weight: 8.6 lbs Honey is as sweet as her name! She has been in our care since she was just 4 weeks old. Her litter came to us very sick—full of worms and battling Coccidia. But thanks to LPR’s dedicated care, as of 3/12/2025, she has tested NEGATIVE for all of it! We couldn’t be happier for these little fighters. We know—a Rottweiler/Dachshund mix is an unusual combo, but trust us, it works! Just look at how stunning Honey is! This little girl has energy to spare but loves cuddling after her zoomies. She’s a playful, loving, and happy pup ready to find her forever family. If you’re interested in adopting Honey, click “ADOPT” under her picture and complete our online application. Once submitted, our adoption specialist will reach out within 24-48 hours to start the process. After approval, her foster parent will arrange a meet and greet, and if all goes well—you’ll have a new best friend for life! Apply today and make Honey a part of your family! **Please note that our dogs are not DNA tested and we only have the breed from the home that surrendered them.  We also do not know the size the dog will be in adulthood!** ##2301478##

Story
Meet Emmett! He was found abandoned after his heartless people moved and left him behind. Emmett is fostered with other dogs and 1 child under 10 who is dog smart. A child who may be scared of a 90 lb dog or get knocked down may not be the best option. Emmett is almost 1 year old. He is very playful and affectionate. He gets along with other dogs and has been fine with the fosters cat. He loves to play fetch. He does well in a crate if needed and seems to be house trained. We are requiring a secure fence for him and would prefer a home with a dog he can play with. Neuter, vaccines, microchip provided.
