Russian Blue kittens & cats in Wappingers Falls, New York

Smoky is a man of mysteries. He is a big boy with an even bigger personality. He is comfortable with other cats/kittens, but prefers his space. He has met the foster family dog and had little interest or concern. He would be wonderful as an only cat/companion animal because he does love attention.  He's very affectionate! He loves to take naps in beams of sun, and doesn't really play that much. A quiet, chill house would be great for this guy. Smoky is FIV+ and had stomatitus. To treat this autoimmune disease, his teeth were removed and he's done much better without them. He's a good eater and loves his friskies.  We estimate his birth year to be 2017. Smoky was abandoned by his "family", who moved and left him behind. He remained in the neighborhood where he returned to his home each night and sat on the porch. We discovered his situation when a neighbor called about a colony of community cats they were feeding. Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm (Smoky is FIV+). They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination.  An application must be completed to be considered to adopt from Stray HELP. GREY is a total sweetheart kitty. He has lived with dogs before coming to Whiskers Pet Rescue. He is a Russian Blue mix boy so handsome and seems quite and a little shy right now unsure why he isn't home yet. He would do great in any household with the proper slow introduction. Meet GIGI, a stunning all gray (possible Russian Blue mix) gal who is estimated to be about 5-7 years old. Gigi is a sweet girl who is very low maintenance. She likes playing with her toys, gazing out the window, sitting with you and is not overly demanding of her human’s time. She loves to give kisses too. Gigi has been through many changes lately so she will need some time and patience as she settles into a new home. An adopter who knows how to read cat behavior (especially when she tells you she has had enough handling and petting) would be ideal. Gigi would do best in an adult only home and can be a solo cat or can live with other cats after a slow and proper introduction and enough space to do her own thing. Gigi’s past was perhaps not the best, but we are excited for her to have an amazing future. Gigi deserves a loving home where she can be doted on and cherished like the queen she is.
