Story
Smokey just turned 3 june 2024! Smokey is supper cuddly and very responsive to his name :) he is the best snuggle partner but also loves to relax in living room all day! He is an indoor cat who gets along well with other cats but has also lived alone as well! Smokey is very social cat and loves to greet people when they walk into the house and loves to sit and join in on people’s conversations! very friendly has never been aggressive towards other cats or people. He is a very mannered young kitty. ———————————————— Due to the short time circumstances, Smokey’s litter box, scooper, cat food n water bowls, 60 count canned cat food, cat wipes, and groomer tool will also be included with his adoption.

* Chimichanga is a Foster to Adopt kitty! Learn more at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/f2a/* Chimichanga is a sponsored kitty! Learn how you can sponsor a kitty in our Sponsor a Cat program at https://www.purrpartners.org/donations/Chimichanga almost lost her life in the shelter because no one knew what was wrong with her. She was doing lots of vomiting and just was not growing, but she loved life, and the shelter did not want to euthanize her, so they contacted us. When we got her, we took her in to our vet to see what was going on, and it was discovered that Chimi has megaesophagus. At the time, she had aspiration pneumonia which can be common with kitties with megaesophagus. However, since those first few weeks, we have gotten this sweet girl on a regimen that has made all the difference in the world for her, and for the past months, she has never developed pneumonia again. Chimi is a sweetheart of a girl with lots of energy, loves toys and playing and loves watching birds and squirrels! She gives kisses and face rubs, and along with the funny esophageal sounds, she has a big purr. She is agile and athletic like any kitten her age, and loves nothing better than attention - unless it's her food!Megaesophagus is a congenital abnormality where the esophagus is greatly distended and pretty much flaccid. There are two types, and through a CAT scan, we found Chimi has the kind that cannot be fixed through surgery. That kind is called a vascular anomaly, and had she had that form, we would have had the surgery. Alas, she has the kind that cannot be surgically repaired. Chimi is a perfectly normal kitten in every way as long as she follows the regimen we have established for her. There are several MUSTS and several MUST NOTS. Seriously, she is very easy to manage- especially if she is the only animal, or even if she is not and the humans are vigilant. The goal is to let gravity help the food move down the esophagus and into her stomach - and then it's all normal from there! The NO-NO's are:1. No dry food ever2. No human food or treats3. No overeating or gorging (even though she would love to!)What must happen:1. Her food is blended into a smoothie that is fed four times a day2. She needs to eat with her head and neck elevated3. She must be held upright for 10-15 minutes after each meal4. Meds are given in her mealsTruly, she is an easy management kitten - so if you think you can do it, we will help you! She deserves a chance and a home like any other kitten, and she is such a sweetheart, we know someone will fall in love because what's not to love?!For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Zoe is eligible for the Seniors for Seniors program and Foster To Adopt.Zoe needs a special adopter. Once she trusts her owner she is a lovely lap cat that is fun and entertaining. However, earning Zoe's trust will take an experienced cat person. She doesn't like change and has some anxieties which she then tries to control the situation by intimidating her human. Yes she is a bit of a Diva but once you crack her code, you get rewarded with just a wonderful cat that likes to be the center of attention, will greet your guests, and is very affectionate. She loves to sit on a lap, catching a snooze while the humans watch TV or surf the 'net. She wants to be near her humans, but if they are busy, she loves to curl up on a smooth comfy blanket in the sun. She's a great cat for those who work from home, as she will leave you alone for most of the day, but like any good co-worker, she'll pop her head in your office and remind you that it's time to go get lunch, or play a quick game of chase. Every night, without fail, Zoe goes around the house, gathering up her stuffed animals, brings them to the bedroom and meows loudly to tell everyone it is bedtime. She sleeps through the night and doesn't bother her humans until breakfast time. Zoe is still very playful and likes to interact with her human. She has a strong hunting instinct and so needs toys and playtime to get those the zoomies out . She loves to watch the birds and gets all animated. The ideal home would have no other pets and have someone that is not gone for long periods of time. Someone that has time to interact and be her best friend. Story
Wanted: Cat whisperer of magical proportions to draw this gorgeous girl out of her shell. This girl needs a talented purrson with much patience who can love a girl for her beauty with all of her limitations. This stunning girl does not want pets or treats and is happy to just do her own thing. Her early life experiences have left her traumatized enough that she is afraid to open up and relax, letting someone behind her barriers. She may always be an aloof girl and not want attention and needs a purrson willing to love her anyway. She is stunning and has never uttered a hiss or growl but will run like the dickens or use her back legs to spring off you when you go to sit her down after she trusts you enough for forced snuggles. She is a gentle soul but needs an equally gentle soul to appreciate who she is and what she is able to give . Are you the magical and gentle soul that is meant to be soulmates with this sweet but traumatized girl - the one who can love her even without her being able to show you in conventional ways that she loves you? Story
Nina came into our care a few years ago after one of our neighbors had to move and couldn’t take her with them. She’s since struggled to get along with our other cats and dog. We’ve tried many things to help her to become more comfortable in our home and nothing has worked. Our reasoning for waiting so long to rehome her is that we were under the assumption her original owner planned to come back for her, however she has since said she has no intention of returning for her. We believe if adopted into a calmer home with less animals she would be much more comfortable and calm. She is incredibly sweet and a total love bug. She is very talkative and demands love and attention. However she’s not the brightest bulb in the box, and we often say her heart is bigger than her head due to how loving yet silly she is.
