Story
EXCELLENT SOCCER STRIKER WITH TOY MICE & POM-POM BALLS  DOB 3/8/22 Hey there, everyone! I’m Zoe, a gentle, affectionate, easygoing, and friendly Russian Blue mix gal with big golden-globe eyes. I'm very petite, and I'm Foster Meowmy's little shadow who likes to follow her all around the house. I’m sweet and playful, although I can be shy as it takes sensitive Russian Blue mixes longer than most cats to adjust to their new environment and new people. You see, I showed up as a friendly stray in my future foster meowmy’s yard, and after befriending me with yummy food, she eventually coaxed me inside. That’s when she realized that I was pregnant, and I delivered my litter of five kits a month later. Thank heavens my kits are now weaned, and I’m now permanently retired from being a doting momma. I’m enjoying all the luxuries of indoor life – brimming food and water bowls as well as climate control and safety from predators. I pretend that I only tolerate Foster Meowmy’s hugs, kisses, coos, and cuddles, but I actually appreciate her affection and attention after living paw-to-mouth for so long. I also enjoy playing soccer with catnip mice and pom-pom balls, and I’m so enthusiastic with my excellent scratching-post-manners that I make the cardboard scratcher into a toy! Scaling the cat tree for a bird’s-eye-view of activity below is my favorite pastime. You see, I can get a little hissy with the resident cats, and I like the psychic distance that the height of the cat tree affords. If you’re looking for a chatty, well-behaved, and elegant feline who’s gentle, clean, and loyal, I’m the Russian Blue mix gal for you! By the way, the Russian Blue mix is one of the most intelligent cats on the planet! So arrange to meet me today! Let’s begin writing a new chapter in our lives together! HOPE ID 24-0713-A029 If you are interested in Zoe and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
ONE OF THE #ARTIST-COLONY LITTER  DOB 7/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Vincent #Van-Gogh, a handsome, docile, gentle, and affectionate Russian Blue mix fella with big golden-globe eyes. I live life to the fullest and appreciate the wonders of the world. I’m devoted to my foster meowmy and love to cuddle with her while we gaze at the Starry Night – or else while we binge on Animal Planet and Netflix. I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. A Good Samaritan rescued us from an apartment complex and brought us to a nice mom-daughter team, who has lovingly cared for us since we were bottle babies. Georgia #O'Keeffe, Botero #Fernando, Dali #Salvador, Claude #Monet, Diego #Rivera, and I have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and I’d love to be your best friend. Arrange to meet me today! Head's up -- I'm very shy and scared at adoption events, so I might show my true personality. Although we’re available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if you’d consider adopting me with one of my siblings. While you’re at work or on vacation, we could be playmates as well as cuddle buddies. Petite, Sweet and calm demeanorVery petite and sweet cat girl. Irina is very calm and lovely young cat. Very food motivated and loves the human attention she could get. Irina was living as stray in an appartment complex here in Houston. She was trapped to be spayed and returned back to that place. Luckily for Irina, her sweet personality convinced the humans that she would do much better living in a home indoors. If you are looking for a chill cat as companion, Irina is your girl. Although, she is ok with sweet cats, she won't mind to be a single pet and devote all her attention to you. Irina is not good with dogs, NOT Hypoallergenic cat and is not an 'Emotional Support Animal'. she requires the normal care and love of an indoor cat. Story
Little Grey is a beautiful 7 year old male. He was found by his foster abandoned and left to fend for himself after his owner left him. He began to follow the foster home and she put him in a carrier and took him to the vet. He was adopted by 2 college students but they ended up not having enough time for a pet. So Little Grey was back with the foster. He is highly intelligent, likes to be brushed and loved. At times, he licks the foster's finger or hand - probably to say "Thank You". He does not like being picked up but tolerates it. He enjoys being outside on her balcony and will stay until the stars are out. He is not a fussy eater, doesn’t shed much if at all. He adores games with string toys. Sometimes he attacks his toys and will play alone for a long time. He has a very dominant personality. He likes some male cats but definitely will pick on some he doesn’t like. His best friend is a neutered male. He plays well with a new foster kitten who adores attacking him from behind. Little Grey is very smart and has learned a lot from being abandoned but still loves people and mostly minds his own business.

Story
These beautiful kittens are a little timid but warm up once they get comfortable with you. They and Mom were rescued off the mean streets of Houston and taken to safety with their Foster Mom. Sadly their Momma Cat passed away during her spay so they were orphaned and it is because of this that we want them adopted out in pairs. Adoption fee for a pair is 240.00 or 135 for one . If adopting only 1, you MUST have another friendly cat. Story
STREET SURVIVOR WITH A HEART OF GOLD  DOB 12/23/18 Hey there, everyone! I’m Little George, a dashing 12-pound Chartreux mix gent with a cheerful demeanor that greets everyone I meet with a soft, rumbling purr and an enthusiastic nuzzle. My plush fur is medium-short and slightly wooly in texture like a purebred Chartreux, although a DNA test would probably prove otherwise. The first time that you pet me will be nothing short of magical because my velvety fur will feel like fluffy silk beneath your fingers. Characteristic to this rare breed, I’m a little “meow-whisperer” – when I’m hungry and try to meow, it sounds like a baby. Yes, the fella with the big round head, golden-globe eyes, and burly body has a surprisingly tiny voice! For about three years, I was the mysterious, silver-coated guardian of my future foster pawrents’ street. I’d cautiously watch them from a distance with wary but curious eyes. They never missed an opportunity to leave me a plate of food, which I eagerly gobbled down. Slowly, day by day, I began to trust them. My brave heart led me closer and closer -- until one chilly evening, I stepped into the warmth of the emergency feral-cat house they’d set up for me. Ah —this was my very first taste of what it means to have a home. It wasn’t long before they trapped, neutered, and released me. They had hoped that my testosterone levels would diminish and that my adventurous spirit might settle down, but, much to their dismay, I vanished for several days. Being the brave and loyal Ramblin’ Man that I am, I couldn’t resist defending my turf. So when I returned, they noticed a small, deep bite wound behind my ear. They rushed me to the vet, where I amazed everyone with my charm. While most cats would hide or squirm, I soaked up every moment of attention as I purred happily through exams and vaccinations. It was there we all learned that I’m  FIV+, but you’d never guess it from my confidence nonchalance. With cold weather setting in, they realized that I deserved so much more than a life of braving the elements. Since bringing me inside, I’ve become Foster Meowmy’s constant companion in the guest room. While I’m cautious of new things, like big, soft, warm blankets, I’m completely unfazed by loud noises like vacuum cleaners. Since I've endured the chaos of lawnmowers, passing cars, and street life, a little hum doesn’t ruffle my fur! Whereas I hissed the first time Foster Meowmy picked me up, it wasn’t long before I let her bathe me, clean my ears, and dry me off without so much as a fuss. My trust in her, although earned slowly, is unshakable. She recently whispered in my ear that she’d adopt me if she didn’t already have two cats with health issues and one cat who feels like he needs to protect his territory. I must admit that I want more in life than being confined to the guest room. I’m ready for a home where I’m someone’s "beginning and end." I dream of a family where every cuddle, purr, and curious head tilt is met with undivided love and attention. While initially I may be a little cautious of big changes, with patience and kindness, I promise to reward you with unending devotion and affection. You might even find me pressing my head against your chest, purring like a small, contented engine—just as I did with the vet If you’re searching for a companion to fill your home with warmth, gratitude, and endless love, I’m waiting to meet you. Sometimes the most extraordinary souls are wrapped in soft, silver-gray fur and come with a heart full of hope. Arrange to meet me today! By the way,  I probably contracted FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) from the deep bite wound from another cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections. HOPE ID 25-0111-A002 If you are interested in Little George and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
