MEET SMUDGE! Are you looking for a gentle, affectionate cat? Then look no further! Smudge is a beautiful nine-year-old Russian blue. She has a calm demeanor and does well with older children and cat savvy dogs! While she is still learning to be comfortable around other cats she does best when they give her space and don't try to engage in play with her. She loves to cuddle and give kisses, she loves attention and at night she loves to snuggle up next to you as you drift to sleep. If you want a cat, that will bring joy and unconditional. Love to your home then smudge is the cat for you!

Story
MEET BENJI - CH BABY (special needs) (*must be adopted with his best friend Tasia) Benji is the happiest kitten you might ever meet, and he is happy to gallop behind you as you do household chores. Benji is incredibly friendly and loves to play with his best friend Tasia. After playing hard with Tasia, Benji likes to nap until it's time for wet food. Benji absolutely loves wet food. Benji has found success using a litter box if it sits on top of a smooth blanket or a non carpeted area. A large litter box that is easy to get in and out of will be best for cats with cerebellar hypoplasia. Despite his wobbles, Benji remains curious and excited to explore as much as he can. Benji and Tasia love to play together, groom each other and sleep together. They frequently like to stay close to each other, even if it is for a small kitty wrestle mania. These kids would do best in a home without small children. They have not been around pups but may be ok with proper slow intro with a very mellow, cat savvy dog friend. CH- Cerebellar Hypolplasia His condition is not progressive, he is not painful and he can live a very normal happy kitty life with a few special accommodations!

Prepare to fall head over heels for Mr. Big, the enigmatic charmer who will captivate your heart in no time. Though he may take a moment to warm up, once he does, you'll be showered with his affection. With his stunning coat and striking good looks, he's impossible to resist. And let's not forget—he's incredibly smart too! Get ready to meet the most gorgeous and fascinating companion you'll ever know. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##2124808##
