Story
Meet Sophie's kittens! Sophie and her kittens came to us when a VA shelter was at capacity and needed to move cats out before possible euthanasia.Genevieve is a long-haired Russian Blue (hypo-allergenic) and is the biggest fluffball you've ever seen. Her BFF is Charlotte. Genevieve is usually more reserved than the others, but can be rip-snortin' fun and play hard with her siblings. She loves to chase Charlotte (and will often move other kittens to do it!) all over and climb.Charlotte is a long-haired white and brown tabby. She gets along with EVERYONE. She is active and wants to know everyone's business. She is the 1st kitten to greet you or try something new. She loves life. She is beautiful and she knows it!Prudence is a long-haired white and gray sweetie pie. She is the runt of the litter and is still learning to eat solid food. She is cautious at first, but very loving. She likes to play with her siblings but will often wait on the sidelines and watch before she gets involved. She has lots of cautious, quiet personality and is a cuddler.Nicole is a short-haired, beautifully and uniquely colored light brown tabby. She is a riot - big personality and a barrel of fun. She is very outgoing and loves to try new things first, like her sister, Charlotte, She loves to wrestle, chase, and climb, and loves the crinkle balls.Jules (male) is a handsome short-haired, dark brown tabby with big loving eyes. He loves playing with his siblings and is a curious explorer, and is one of the first to try new things. He greets you at the door, is the first ready to eat, and loves to play with his siblings.Andre (male) is a short/medium haired white and brown tabby. He can always be found snuggling with his siblings, particularly look-alike sister, Charlotte, and loves to play but is mor eon the quiet side. All kittens are loving, cuddly, and playful. All would do best in a quieter home, low to moderate activity. If children, over 5 - 6 years old.All kittens are ready to be pre-adopted now and will be ready to go home in 2 -3 weeks. All are/will be dewormed, spayed/neutered, receive(d) 2 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine at 4 mos., combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. If you are interested in pre-adopting (they will go FAST! - just look at them) please fill out an application and email to us at GoodMews22@aol.com. Story
Abby is still fearful of people but is making good progress. She lets familiar volunteers pet her and she enjoys the touch and affection. She needs an adoptor with a quiet house (she does ok with other cats) who is very patient. The right adopter for Abby will let her progress at her pace and will love her even if she doesn't completely overcome her fear. Abby is sweet and gorgeous and we believe she'll continue to get more comfortable. We're making her available now in case the right adopter comes along. It would be great for her to be in a safe home - her progress may be faster there. We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://rappcats.org/adoptions/ Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. August 20, 2024, 9:22 am
