Sponsored by Susan and Chip Terhune If you can adopt just now but you'd like to help Kim by sponsoring her, you can get more info here: https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND? Story
This big beautiful brindle boy has spent 5 years at the heart of a young Seattle family, but it’s time he moved on. A couple of years ago, Almond started to get corns. His family have worked with their vet and a good online group of owners to treat Almond’s sore pads and minimize his pain, but it’s understandable that his enthusiasm for long hikes has gone. If he liked staying in while the family are out and about, everything would be fine, but sadly Almond gets very anxious when left alone. His family have tried everything they, their vet, and a trainer can think of to help him relax while they are away, but unless he’s with another dog, nothing seems to help. When you meet him, Almond is a total lovebug. He is the absolute opposite of a dominant male, greeting new people with a huge show of deference and a goofy grin. His sore paws make him a true couch potato, although he does enjoy a good zoomie from time to time. His folks are regular members of the Magnusson Park greyhound meets, so we know he’s calm and social with other hounds. Basically, he’s a very young senior dog, looking for an easy routine and good company. Phil and Kim have him booked in for his annual physical at the end of the month, but as far as they know, he’s in good fettle. He has recovered very well from a fractured wrist two years ago. He teeth are not awful, but not brilliant.

Story
Pictures of Grace show you as beautifully colored and proportioned greyhound as you are likely to find in any hemisphere. What isn’t immediately apparent is that, at 76 bs, she may be lithe, but she is also mighty: as big, or bigger than most male hounds. On the track, that made her very fast – in her brief career she won handsomely but retired after only 11 starts. Now just over 6 years old, Grace is set for her new life as a Royal Hound. This big, confident girl loves toys and is excited to meet dogs and people – especially people – but has no experience with cats or smalls pets. We think she will be happiest in a greyhound-savvy home with a settled social order for her to settle into.

Story
Angela raced for over 2 years as InterAngela until she pulled a muscle in April and retired. Now fully recovered, she’s a picture of health with a sleek ebony coat with brilliant white highlights on her chest and toes. In the time since her final professional run Angela has proved as beautiful on the inside as she in on the surface, loving any opportunity to meet new people and other dogs as she prepares for the long journey to the USA. Foster Home Update: She has certainly come out of her shell and is a curious, playful, sweet natured girl. She's very active now, in and out of the dog door throughout the day, lots of zoomies in the yard, and excited for her twice daily walks. She's my shadow and sleeps well through the night, she's super fun and cracks us up daily. We enjoy having her around. She would do well with a yard where she can spend time outside.
