Story
** If you are interested in adopting Polly, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Polly is the sweetest little girl ever! We know her photo is horrible, and we are working on getting more... Polly is around 2 years old and just 10 lbs. She is believed to be a Schnoodle mix. Polly was found as a stray in Texas, and ended up in a small town shelter where no dog should ever be. She went to the shelter and became buddies with her kennel neighbor who was a big boxer, and showed that she adores other dogs! Farfel's Texas rescue partner was very pleased to find that Polly is very healthy, cuddly, playful, and loves other dogs. They made the collective decision that the greatest home they could imagine for Polly would be in Colorado. Farfel's was contacted (we were thrilled!) and a transport ticket was issued for this wonderful girl. Polly is just gorgeous! She has a stunning coat that you just want to pet her and tell her how beautiful she is. Her coat is currently shelter-sad and could be much more soft and shiney with commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition. 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are recommended for excellent general health and to keep her coat silky-soft and very healthy. Most of the time these rescue dogs have not had any training. Unfortunately we do not know Polly's background, as she was found as a stray. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young girl whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Polly is up to date on her vaccines, heartworm tested (negative) and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Let’s talk about Pee Wee! This darling girl is a bundle of joy and cuteness. Although she was a bit timid at first, she quickly opened up and became an adorable, sweet, and seemingly house-trained companion (score)! She’s dog friendly and enjoys the company of a playful canine companion. Pee Wee found herself in the care of a local CO shelter after her human was no longer able to care for her due to Alzheimers. She found the shelter to be a scary place, but, she met a lot of nice people there who reached out to MHCR to help her find a foster home. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her! Pee Wee is 2 years old, appears to be a Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) and is 13 lbs. Pee Wee is in foster in Englewood, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/pee-wee You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Meet Rosco! This adorable 3-year-old Miniature Poodle/Cocker Spaniel mix is eagerly waiting to find his forever family. With his happy, bouncy personality and a perfect petite size of around 18 pounds, Rosco is irresistibly cute, especially with his charmingly big noggin! Rosco is making great progress with basic commands and has already mastered "sit." He's housetrained and uses the doggie door like a pro. On a leash, Rosco is very manageable and is learning to stay by his handler's side. He loves long walks, prancing along, and enjoying the sights and smells of the great outdoors. Rosco gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He loves to run and play and even thinks he's one of the big dogs. Rosco is a vocal fellow who enjoys singing with the husky in his foster home, and he is always alert and ready to notify you of any approaching visitors. Rosco loves treats, playing with toys, and snuggling up for ear scratches and belly rubs. His joyful wiggles and bows when he's happy to see you are heart-melting, and he loves being close to his people. Rosco thrives with leadership, structure, and routine. He will do best in a home with adults only or with kids who can provide these elements and hold him accountable. An ideal home for Rosco would be one without shared walls. Regular grooming is a must for Rosco, but no worries—he’s a star client! He willingly participates in brushing sessions, knowing they'll make him look his best. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Rosco can't wait to meet his forever family. Apply today to bring this charming boy home! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2084758##
