Story
Hachi is a gorgeous 4 year old Sharpei. He has lived with other dogs both in his original home and his foster home, but his foster home now thinks he would do best as the only dog, or with larger dogs that are dog savvy - as he can be an avid wrestler with rough play style. Hachi should not be in a home with other small animals because he has high prey drive and will harm them. He has met humans of all types well, is very sweet and makes social connections easily. Hachi is housebroken and crates well, but can get stressed after long periods of being alone. Some of his favorite things are long walks, good exercise, and play time. Hachi needs a completely fenced yard that is 6ft, or owner who can detail his exercise without fence- he can hop shorter fences with ease. He’s ready for his forever home!

Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.Bugs has been with another dog since we had her. She is potty trained, crate trained and shock collar trained. Very food motivated. {Notes from the time she was in shelter} - In the picture, she's the one with more white on the face! She likes to roll around in the grass and be so silly, but after that she is the most snuggly girl. She likes to be in people's laps and to give kisses and take naps. She rides pretty well in the car after the first few minutes of excitement! She can be a liiiittle bit nervous when she first meets other dogs, but once she gets to sniff a bit, she relaxes! She has met children of all ages and done very well. Stella has been living it up in a foster home. Her foster humans have the following to say about her: Stella is a truly sweet and gentle dog who loves affection. She can be wonderfully lazy if you let her, content to lounge around the house with her favorite people. While she enjoys going on walks and exploring, she's equally happy to spend quiet days indoors. At home, her manners are impeccable—she’s never had an accident, isn’t destructive, and is perfectly content to nap on the couch if left alone for a few hours. Stella also has a unique love for buses and tries to board every parked one she encounters. We are actively working on building her confidence around new people and sounds, and she is already showing progress. She needs a patient and kind owner to help her learn to stay calm instead of barking in challenging situations. Occasionally, Stella pulls on the leash when she gets excited, but she’s a quick learner and has already improved significantly in walking nicely without tension on the leash. Stella is a wonderful dog and fostering her has been a joy. She’s looking for a forever family to give her the love she craves!

She would best be in a house with no children, cats or dogs. She would also be best with someone you who can be home most of the time. She is food aggressive and is timid to meet people. Eventually she might warm up- it would take a few times of meeting her. She really is a good dog. Our house circumstance just don’t fit her needs right now.
