Story
Amelia is such a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle and give you kisses and little nibbles. She will follow you everywhere and is not at all interested in running away - she does not like to be left alone or left behind. She is the perfect mid-sized companion and will be a very affectionate, loyal friend. She seldom barks. Isn't she cute - with those button ears?Amelia is not at all aggressive, and at times can be a bit shy. She is so eager to trust but is sometimes a little unsure and cautious. She loves to see familiar people and loves to play with their dogs when we go for walks each morning, noon and night. She enjoys riding in the car and is very well behaved on outings to dog-friendly restaurants, wineries and outdoor events. She and her foster brother play well together. They will chase each other and share toys. Amelia is also content to play quietly with toys by herself. She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. She is spayed. Amelia has graduated potty-training 101. We are so proud of her. She is proud of herself and really shows how happy she is when she hears she's been a good girl. She gets a good belly scratch. If you have dogs or cats, as always, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we always recommend supervision between animals and children. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 44 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky girl that loves walks, hikes, humans, dogs, snuggles, and the like, then look no further. This sweet girl is nearly perfect! She can't help but make your day a little more "Rosie". She's house trained, crate trained, and does great on walks (and looooves an adventure - car rides, meeting friends, play dates - she's your girl)! She's still young and is best behaved after a little activity, but such a good pup. She's learning basic commands and spends her time trying to please her humans. She may be one of the happiest foster dogs we've met! While she does have heartworms, the friends of wake county has sponsored her $600 toward her treatment. And it's very treatable. Please ask any questions you may have. If you're ready for some joy in your life, email her foster mom atSarahf0305@gmail.com We can't wait to meet you! Primary Color: Red Brown Weight: 49 Age: 3yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Millie was found as a stray running on the side of the road. We picked her up and went to check to see if she is microchipped, got in contact with the owners and the dumped her and did not want her back. She is a relaxed girl who likes to sit on the couch and sleep all day and occasionally gets the zoomies. She does not chew up or tear up anything. She is 2-3 years old, potty trained, UTD on shots, negative for heart worms, and weights about 50 pounds. She gets along with all dogs, high or low energy. Her elbow was previously injured and the injury healed incorrectly. The vet said she is fine for now as it is not causing her pain but if it begins to cause her pain she will need medical attention which can be costly which is why we need an experienced adopter who will be able to care for her and whatever medical attention she needs. She is the most docile, quiet, and gentle girl who loves to sunbathe. She will do best in a home with a yard and one or two other doggie friends.

Story
Griffin is a 12-week-old, 16lb black and white Boxer mix. Griffin is the perfect combination of calm and puppy energy! He is currently learning how to be a dog and is having a great time figuring out what he loves to do. Griffin is learning how to walk on a leash and is doing so well learning tricks like "sit" and "paw." Since he is still learning how to walk on a leash, he will need a fenced in yard so that he can romp around safely to his puppies' hearts content. Since Griffin is still a puppy, he's working on his house manners and can be a little mouthy still but given how quickly he's learning his commands we've no doubt he'll learn his manners really soon! If you think Griffin could be the laid back pup that you've been looking for all your life, apply today! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!March 2, 2025, 8:37 pm
