Story
Farrah ACCT-A-210853 is a 12-year-old female who came in as a stray on 1/7. The finder noted that she was “was very nervous when I trapped it in yard but did let me pet it on the car ride over. growled when I first approached it when I had it trapped in a yard. scared, shy, did warm up during car ride.”
Behavior Notes:
Per staff 1/8: “Farrah/LuLu wasn't a fan of the other dog during her dog meet today. At first she slowly stalked up to the other dog, and then became very avoidant. When her meet partner gave her a butt sniff she low growled, but did not escalate or correct the other dog. Once they were separated Farrah/LuLu just walked away calmly.”
1/8 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Farrah/LuLu is staying in an office at this time. When the handler approached she was laying on her bed. She glanced up with neutral eyes and then laid her head back down. She ignored the handler as she walked into the room and remained neutral when she was leashed. Once secured she stood up and walked out with the handler.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally, but walks slowly and likes to stop and check out her surroundings
HANDLING :
Farrah/LuLu stayed near her main handler in the room with us. She gave me a couple sniffs with neutral eyes and a high tail, but then backed into her handler. She allowed her main handler to give her lots of scratches, and leaned in for booty and back scratches. She would do everything she could to give her handler her butt for more scratches. She was sensitive around her ears and feet, but was tolerant and allowed them to be touched. She climbed up into her main handler’s lap at one point, soliciting and leaning in. Overall, she was very tolerant and even sweet once she got to trust her person.

She even allowed me to get a little splinter off her face above her eye.”
