sharing one of the most incredibly special babies we've had the pleasure of helping, Miss Shay Shay. Shay came to us from our rural shelter partner who is woefully inundated with dogs. Every shelter in SC is well past max capacity and animals are losing their lives daily. Shay was no exception except for the fact that this girl imprints on those around her almost instantly. Shay made a connection with the shelter staff and they fought for the best for this girl and needless to say once we met her we knew we had to save her. Shay is seriously nothing short of incredible. Shay is a Sharpei and guessed to be around 3. She has one eye but it doesn't slow her down one bit! Here's the why: Shay has the most gentle and calm demeanor of quite possibly any dog we've had come through our rescue. Shay is the equivalent of a dainty little flower. Quite literally nothing phases this girl. She is so sweet and just tries to follow you wherever she can. She does INCREDIBLE with other animals, dogs & cats alike. When doing intake paperwork she would often meet the new kittens and just put her head on the desk and admire them. Shay truly is made up of pure love and nothing less. I wish I could put into words just how special this girl is. She is fully house trained and can be left out unattended and does not need to be crated as in perfect girl fashion she just hangs out and will honestly nap on the floor over her raised dog bed. She also is learning how to drink out of more than puddles and eating out of bowls but she'll catch on quick we're sure!
