Honey was found in the harsh streets of Houston. She’d been fending for herself a long time and was in rough shape. Some amazing ladies picked her up and started her on the path to healing. She didn’t have a long term plan though, and right before she was to be released back to the streets, she was scooped up and brought to DFW, where the rest of her healing would take place. She had heartworms and has completely recovered and her personality is shining through! She loves to play with her foster sisters and brothers, and loves to give kisses? She’s a little shy at first, but this girl is a gem!

She’s quiet, dog friendly, walks great on a leash, and has great manners around the house. While she doesn’t show interest in toys or balls, she does LOVE affection of any kind and will politely ask you for pets any chance she gets. In baileys foster home, she enjoys hanging out with the family and finding various comfy surfaces wherever she can. She shows no signs of destructiveness and spends most of her days lounging.She gets along with both of her small foster siblings, but prefers the calmer senior male to the younger less than 1 year puppy in the house.

I bought Polo at 6 weeks old for my then 10 year old son, but his mom wouldn’t let him keep him. I have had him for four years. Polo very well mannered pet, great behavior, very loyal, and intelligent. If conditions were better I wouldn’t let him go. He is 4 years old. I am looking for him to go to a great family or someone that needs a great companion to keep them company. He doesn’t do a lot of uncontrolled barking, keeping the environment very peaceful. He likes to go outside but loves to be in the house. He would always lay next to me when I’m painting or even when I was allowed to take him to events. He is the prime definition of “man’s best friend”.

Scout is a brown boxer mix who is also very sweet and full of energy. We rescued her when she was 8 weeks old and she is now 5 years old. Scout was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 8 months old, but she does not let that hold her back in life. She has been through obedience school where she learned great leash skills. She enjoys going for short walks but definitely thrives more indoors. She also has done very well with our one year old son, but does not like her paws to be touched, so she will often just run away from him.
