Story
Meet Mia! She loves having a her person like a typical German Shepherd.  She is extremly loyal.  She is great in her crate Looks forward to her daily walk and will sit right in front of me when I’m at my leash bar to hook up. Pretty brave with all surroundings when walking would make a great jogging partner. She loves being inside as much as outdoors. She absolutly loves being brushed!!  Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Story
Lucy is almost 5 years old, she has had a tough life, moved from place to place. She is a very loyal girl and she bonds hard to her person.  Lucy gets along with respectful dogs. She does like to be the queen bee and wants everyone to know she is in charge.  She is easily corrected and wants to please. She is a really good dog. She has 2 barks, when she wants your attention for some pets, a treat or to go outside she uses her inside voice, when she is alerting you to something more, there is definately a difference! With Lucy the house is always safe. She is fine with her current fosters dog savvy 8 year old but she mostly ignores him and just wants to be near the adult in the house. Lucy is completely crate trained and house broken. Each morning when she comes out of her crate and again after she comes in from outside, she finds the toy of the day and proudly carries it around the house... often times squeaking it unbelieveably fast!  Lucy would be great in an active home with breed experience as she can sometimes be nervous meeting new people as she decides who is friend or foe. Her forever home could have older children or no children, polite dogs, and lots of love to give as Lucy deserves it and thrives on it, she is love motivated.    Lucy is vaccinated, spayed, chipped and ready to be in a home where is treasured. She is house trained, she rides nicely in the car. Lucy loves her walks and knows exactly where she can find her leash.  Adoption fees: Adult  dogs: 1-6 years $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. Story
Felix is an approximately 3 years old German shepherd mix. He has that BEAUTIFUL classic black and tan shepherd coat and is sure to get lots of compliments when out and about!Felix can be nervous when meeting new people and new dogs, so he does best with slow introductions and would thrive with an owner who is committed to continuing his training and socialization.Once comfortable, Felix is a silly, goofy, fun dog. He loves the outdoors and would do best in an active home. He enjoys going for walks and would make a fabulous hiking and/or jogging partner. He loves to use his nose and play fetch. However his most favorite place to be is sitting next to his person. He seems to prefer the ladies but has bonded with a couple males, it just takes a bit longer.Felix has gotten along with a large male shepherd and a medium sized pitbull in his foster home with slow introductions. He has made a few feline friends as well so shows cat potential when introduced properly.Felix is nervous in the car but he is slowly learning that the car means fun adventures!! He is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on the leash. He is very affectionate and eager to please. He loves his treats. A great dog with a ton of potential but needs someone who is going to give him time to feel comfortable and show just how awesome he is.To find out more about Felix please go online to CalPaws.org or send an email to cpk9rescue@gmail.com Adoption fees:   Dogs over 1 and under 6 years old: $400 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies.
