If you are reading about this dog, he/she is still available for adoption. Located in Memphis, Tennessee but we do adopt out of state for the right fit. From Bonnie's foster mom: Bonnie is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever fostered. Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her. She is a cuddle bug and a velcro dog. All she wants to do is be with her human. She enjoys dog chews, toys, and treats but her favorite thing in the world is attention from her human. She loves men, women, and kids. She is always happy, gentle, and appropriately behaved with whomever she meets. She walks well on a leash and really enjoys walking in the park. Bonnie loves car rides. She gets in the car well on her own, but is a little afraid when jumping out, probably due to her vision impairment. She is calm in the car and always falls asleep. She has done great with other dogs she has met in my home and at the shelter. However, she needs a patient dog because due to the lack of vision in her right eye, she tends to bump into other dogs when walking or playing. She seems to really enjoy following my dog around the yard and just doing whatever he is doing. Bonnie is a medium energy dog. She is very playful with other dogs and is also very vocal in her play. She doesn't always pick up on social cues from other dogs, but she does take corrections well. We would prefer for Bonnie to go to a home with another dog friendly dog. She loves the companionship and playtime with other dogs. She would not do well as an only dog. All in all, Bonnie is a wonderful, intelligent, social dog. She has so much love to give and is so deserving of a forever family that will return that love. If you are reading about this dog, he/she is still available for adoption. Meet Ivy: Your Future Best Friend! Location: Memphis, Tennessee Ivy is a sweet and joyful dog who truly deserves a second chance at life. Rescued from the side of the road in poor condition, this brave girl has blossomed since being taken in. Initially timid, Ivy quickly warmed up to her new surroundings. She is fully vetted and spayed. We don't think she will get over 45-55lbs. She is less than 18' tall. This happy little lady adores attention, especially to be pet by anyone willing to show her some attention, and is always eager for a good treat, walk, or play session. Ivy is very inquisitive. She wants to know what is in every cupboard and box. She is always looking out the window or gate to see what is happening. Ivy walks beautifully on a leash, is crate trained, house trained and knows some basic commands. She is very smart and quick to learn. She knows how to wait, follow, and tap your hand for a treat. She is a jumper, so we continue to work on her jumping. She still chases the cat but has no intent of hurting them. She does not respond negatively when the cat corrects her. She continues to play with her foster sibling, which is a Golden, so a home with a playmate IS A MUST! She does have a high-pitched cry when she thinks she has been left behind. She grunts when she is happy. She has a lot of energy and is very sociable. She sleeps through the night. She sucks on her blanket when she sleeps. She snores at night. She even has the cutest burps after she eats too fast. Ivy has adjusted well to home life and can navigate stairs with ease. Nothing phases her—not even the vacuum cleaner! Ivy has a healthy appetite (She even has the cutest burps after she eats too fast.) and enjoys car rides, making her the perfect adventure buddy. Although Ivy is a velcro dog and loves to be with her human, she would fit best in a home with a playmate. While she’s friendly with everyone she meets, Ivy would thrive best in a cat-free home. She would benefit from a fenced yard where she can play and run. Ivy leans against her foster mom's leg when she is working in the kitchen. She lays on her feet when she is sitting. She likes to snuggle on the couch. She is such a happy and affectionate dog. My name is Claddagh and I'm a beautiful 1.5yr old female German Shepherd mix gal. I'm located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport to my forever home. Quick Facts: Age - 1.5yrs old Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo Kids - Fine with older kids (8+) Dogs - Great with large males Cats - NO cats Training - needs standard obedience training 1. I had been in a shelter for a very long time with no interest in me. Thankfully the IDGSR peeps busted me out of the shelter and put me in the best foster home! They promised they would find me the best forever home. 2. I am very sweet, very demure, calm, very gentle. All of the best things a little lady should be.
