Story
Meet Hoss! He is 2 years old and about 55#. Hoss is a Husky - Shepherd mix. Hoss came to us after he could no longer be cared for where he was living, as an outside dog. Although he loves to be outside, he will likely adjust to being an indoor/outdoor dog.   Hoss can be a bit shy with new people and things, but he is overall friendly. He is a funny guy and loves to play! Hoss knows sit and shake. He will go after a ball and bring it partially back to you, so is halfway there on the fetch part!  Hoss will need to be kept on a schedule for getting into a regular potty routine. He does fine when let out here through the day every few hours. He is friendly when meeting other dogs through kennel doors. However, Hoss wasn't properly socialized with other dogs as he grew up and is scared of them it seems. He will most likely be fine with another low energy dog, that doesn't get in his face or jump on him when not expecting it. It will take him time, understanding and patience to adjust to a new home.   Hoss is overly interested in cats and it is best there aren't any in his new home, He should be fine with kids.   Hoss is neutered, Heartworm and Lyme negative, current on vaccines and monthly prevention. ~ $0 ADOPTION FEE THRU 8/31/24!!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application in person or here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet & greet! Meet Koda!  Those Ears!!  Koda is a Germand Shepherd mix, approximately 3 years old and currently weighs in at 49#. He can stand to gain about 10# as he came in to FCAC pretty underweight. Koda is playful and can be quite a comedian at times. He is ready for new adventures in life! Beyond ready to leave his past behind and into a family that will love him the way a dog should be loved! Koda had unfortunately been being kept crated all the time and his fur is stained from not being let to go outside.   We expect Koda will do fine with other dogs if proper introductions are made, although we have no officially introduced him to other dogs here at FCAC yet! Koda has a gentle demeanor, so we expect he will be fine with kids. We have not officially cat tested him yet, but can upon request. Koda goes to and from his kennel with no issues. He will need kept on a routine for going outside to go potty, but is overall doing ok with getting in the groove of going outside.  Walks ok on a leash. Food motivated and sits well for treats.    Neutered, heartworm/Lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. ~ $0 ADOPTION FEE THRU 8/31/24!!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet!
