Story
Nova is a very sweet & loving girl! Initially she is very timid & shy, but once she gets comfortable around you, she is an energetic cuddle bug! Nova is one (1) out of ten (10) puppies, so she is good with other dogs and being around a little bit of chaos. We had originally found Nova a home, but unfortunately after a month or so, we learned that we were lied to and the home we sent her to was not right. Therefore, upon learning this we immediately took her back. Unfortunately, we are already a full house, so as much as we'd love to keep her, we just don't have the room, but we need to make sure she goes to the RIGHT home!

These pups are in Boston, Massachusetts too!

Story
Meet Daphne! - Shepherd Mix - Female - 2 years young - 41lbs - Spayed - Up to date on all vaccinations Daphne was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was next in line to be euthanized. When we saw a picture of how terrified and scared she was we knew we couldn’t let anything bad happen to her again. Daphne is very nervous and scared and we are assuming she was abused in her past as she cowers low when people walk by quick. She is really starting to open up in her foster home and getting more and more comfortable each day. Daphne needs and adopter who will be patient with her and show her that she is worthy of your love. She’s so unsure on who to trust but we can see that she wants to trust so bad. She gets along well with other dogs and sleeps through the night in the crate. Do you have enough love and patience in your heart to give Daphne the best life possible? If so, she’s desperately waiting for you! To apply to adopt this beautiful girl, please fill out an adoption application located on our website. www.aplaceforace.org

MEET ROCKY! Potty Trained! Walks Well on Leash! - I am in a foster home, please contact the shelter to meet me!*I will be in the shelter Saturday and Sunday from 1-3PM, come say hello!Rocky is a stunning boy with a calm demeanor that sets him apart from the energetic stereotype of his breed. One of his most striking features is his beautiful, freckled face which perfectly compliments his unique personality. He is looking for a special home with someone who can understand and appreciate his specific needs. Rocky is super friendly with people and other dogs and has quickly become a staff favorite. He is fully potty trained and a complete joy to go on walks with. Rocky would also do best in a household where someone is home frequently or a household with more than one adult to keep him company. A larger home or one with a secure yard would allow him the space he needs to feel at ease and explore his surroundings. He would do best in a home without children and with someone who exhibits patience and positive reinforcement. Through he has his quirks, Rocky is a truly lovable and friendly dog who bonds deeply with those he trusts. With time and understanding he will thrive in a home that is ready to meet a unique and beautiful husky. If you`re looking for a loyal companion with a gently soul and the cutest freckles you`ve ever seen, Rocky might be the perfect match for you!Rocky is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Rocky or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesWell, well, well – I see you have stumbled upon my profile. Hello! My name is Teddy (although my foster mom keeps calling me the Floofiest Floofball in all of Floofland so maybe that’s my name?) I am 7 years old and I cannot wait to find my forever family!I am a husky and I have been told I have the prettiest smile and softest fur. My foster mom keeps asking to hear my beautiful husky singing, but I’ve been too shy to show her my skills so far. Eating is my favorite activity (though the vet says I need to cut back on the snacking, oops). Once I trust my humans, I will stick to them like glue. I am more than happy to lay around on my bed all day, but the second you get up I want to be where the people are and will follow you wherever you are going.I love going on walks and I have been told I have spectacular leash skills. New people make me nervous, so I do best when meeting them in neutral spaces where I can decide to approach them on my own terms. But once we are friends, we are friends for life (especially if you give me treats). I thrive best in an environment that provides structure and reinforces boundaries. I like it when the humans in my life show me that they are in charge because it makes me feel taken care of and I know I don’t have to worry about anything because they will advocate for me out in the world.I am fully house trained and crate trained, although sometimes I like to hit you with the sad eye smolder so you give me a little treat for going in my crate. I already know basic commands like sit and stay. I’m a really smart boy and can’t wait to learn more with you! I am hoping to find a single-family home with a confident adopter who has experience owning dogs. Okay I think that’s it for now. Like, follow, and subscribe for more. Or just write an email to our Adoptions team! They can help you get connected with my agent to set up time for a meeting. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.March 9, 2025, 1:37 am
