Story
Sven is a great dog with a few things that could use some work. He’s an extremely excitable dog with new people or visitors and jumps a lot but will typically back off if you tell him no or to back up. He loves people new or familiar. He is house, dog door, and kennel trained. We’ve always had a decent sized yard so not much leash training but does ok on a leash just some pulling. He has lived with another dog and 2 cats who he is great with. He had some experience at a dog park as a puppy and didn’t show aggression towards other dogs then but has had little exposure since. Reason for rehoming is we have 2 children under the age of 3 who he has snapped at twice in the last year. He has not broken the skin on either occasion but we are unwilling to jeopardize the safety of our children. With that exception he is truly a wonderful dog and we will be very sad to see him go and want to see him in a loving home. We are willing to travel and be negotiable on rehoming fee to make that happen

Story
Baldur is about to be 1 year old this month! He is an avid player and a snuggly cuddler. He gets incredibly anxious on his own, but has had 3 cats, 2 kids and 2 incredibly busy adults to keep him company most often. Unfortunately his adults have chosen to relocate for work which has the schedule dwindling even further and the stresses piling up. Baldur deserves someone with plenty of time for long walks and good training talks, not someone who works away or goes on long trips without him. Previously his primary human worked from home- that was the life. He's a perfect road trip companion and behaved car seat guardian. He's still a puppy and very much needs help with some commands and behaviors- like knowing what is for chewing and what is NOT. But his personality is big and sweet and he is very quick to say "sorry" and never chew or nibble a similar thing again. Most of his "bad" behaviors are only when he is anxious and alone.

Hello there, I'm Zoey! I'm a gal who knows her own mind. I'm sweet as can be, but I also have a brave streak. I'm not afraid to explore new places or try new things. My energy level is through the roof! I love to play and run around. I'm a bit selective when it comes to my dog friends. I guess you could say I'm choosy about my company. But once I've chosen you, you'll have a loyal friend for life. I'm looking for a family who can match my energy and spirit. If you think you can keep up, I'd love to meet you! Unfortunately Zoey has been added to the urgent list due to her selectivity with other dogs. She can be jumpy and mouthy so it is not recommended that she's adopted out to a family with small kiddos. She is a very sweet girl and is still looking for her forever home. We highly recommend a dog on dog meet and greet before adoption. Swing by the shelter today if you'd like to meet this spunky doberman and shepherd mix!
