Story
We fostered and later adopted Leroy from the Houston SPCA in 2020. His approximate age is 6 years old. In a controlled situation, Leroy is a sweet dog that loves belly rubs and to sleep, bark at birds, and follow you around the house. We are looking to rehome him because of his bite history. He was a reactive dog when we adopted him (on leash, with other dogs) and we have worked with trainers on this. With exposure and time, he now is comfortable and safe around other dogs. He loves going to dog parks but doesn't run around with other dogs, he likes to pee and sniff around. He has bitten multiple people (ankle bites) when he is fearful and when stepped on. He has had bite incidents with young children because they pull at his ears or step on his tail. The bites have broken skin. He needs a home with no children. We are heartbroken to rehome Leroy, but we are expecting to be around young children and children of our own. I am hopeful Leroy will be a loving & fluffy companion to you.
