Max is a one year old 15 lb poodle mix. He came to us really distrustful and growly and prone to bite. He had probably never been handled or had much affection. We had a hard time grooming him. His coat was a mess. He had to be muzzled and that is why he still looks like a rock star with a beard. He has made so much progress! He is playing well With other dogs. He loves toys. He comes to me to be petted. He is putting some weight on his skinny body. He is heartworm negative and fully vetted. Boomer is an 8 year old , 19 lb terrier/Shih Tzu mix. He is being returns to rescue cause his owner is moving to assisted living. He has been an only dog for the last six years. Boomer is outgoing with people. He is a great companion, he wants to be near his person. He could afford to lose a few pounds. But he is a sweet loyal dog. River is a young female Shih Tzu mix who weighs 11 lbs and is 5-6 months old. She came to rescue after being attacked by a large dog and having her eye damaged. She is now spayed, microchipped and has had her vaccines. This is a very sweet dog who is also quite mellow for a pup. Her adoption fee is $200 Here is what her foster mom says about her:River is a precious puppy who is learning quickly to adapt to having lost one of her eyes. She loves to play and run and often has zoomies with my dog. River loves to sit in my lap and cuddle. She’s a good eater and enjoys her treats. She and my adult dog get along well. I haven’t had her around other dogs but she has met several new people and instantly warms up to them. She likes to watch dogs on TV and will growl and bark at them, so cute. She will bark if she sees something out the front door but is not an excessive barker. She will usually come when I call her name. River is close to being potty trained but I do have to take her out frequently during the day. Currently she sleeps in a crate with no problem other than a few little cries when we first go to bed. She usually sleeps through the night unless she hears me get up. Be careful, she will quickly steal your heart
