Story
Hi, I’m Baron! I’m an adorable 10 week old puppy, and I have been fixed, dewormed, microchipped and am current on my age appropriate vaccinations! The rescue is not sure of my exact breed as my parents are unknown, but I am teeny tiny weighing only 3 pounds with the softest, fluffy hair… they believe I am a mix of poodle, and possibly shihtzu or a small amount of Tibetan terrier as well. I am an absolute sweetheart who just loves attention. I will curl up in your lap for cuddles, and will play with any toy you give me. Those toys with the squeakers are my favorite! I love giving kisses and have the absolute best puppy personality. I am crate trained (with a buddy) and sleep through the night, and am doing well with potty training too. If I’m let out every couple of hours, I don’t have very many accidents. I really don’t like being left all alone since I am still so young. My foster parents require I be adopted into a home with a friendly pup already in it for companionship… or if I am adopted with my buddy Zeke, they will give a significant discount on our adoption fees. They’d love for us to stay together since we are best buddies and spend every waking moment together. You should see us in action! If you’d be interested in meeting me, please send an email to the rescue. *Priority will be given to those looking to adopt Baron with his buddy Zeke. *If being adopted solo, a FRIENDLY pup must already be in the home for companionship. *Prefer adopters to be within 30 minutes of Goodyear, since we do require a home check. *After application is submitted, we will message you to chat further if we are looking to move forward with your application. We receive tons of emails, applications and inquiries so please be patient on responses.

The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location.Hi! Story
PWRESCUE.ORG **PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY** Meet Ozzie and Oreo, a delightful senior pair of sweet, shy companions looking for a peaceful haven to enjoy their golden years. Ozzie, a Havanese mix, and Oreo, a Shih Tzu mix, are both 9 years old and ready to retire in a loving, quiet home. This charming duo seeks a serene environment where they can be the center of attention. They would thrive best as the only dogs in the household, allowing them to soak up all the love and care you have to offer. A home without young children would be best, as they prefer a tranquil setting to unwind. Despite their age, Ozzie and Oreo have plenty of affection to give. Adopting them means offering a cozy, quiet and low key retreat for their twilight years while enjoying the special joy of their loving companionship. They both have a bit of a vocal streak, making them not suitable for apartment or condo living. Ozzie and Oreo are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00 for the pair. If you’re ready to provide this sweet pair with a loving home, please visit https://pwrescue.org and click on the "Adopt" button to complete an application.   Pathways Home Animal Rescue November 4, 2024, 2:59 pm

Story
PWRESCUE.ORG *PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY*  Yoda is an adorable one-year-old, 11 pound Terrier/Shih Tzu mix in search of his forever home after being found as a stray.  To thrive in his new environment, Yoda would greatly benefit from an active home with another dog, where he can learn and develop good behaviors through play and interaction. His distinctive name reflects his wild ears and playful expression, reminiscent of the small, wise character from Star Wars.  As a young and active pup, Yoda is full of energy and always eager to engage in play and wrestling matches with other dogs. He brings a sweet and silly demeanor that is sure to charm anyone he meets.   Additionally, having a fenced yard would be an ideal setup for him, allowing him to run and romp freely with his furry friends. With the right companions and space to play, Yoda is sure to flourish and become a cherished part of any family.  Because he was found as a stray, we don't know his history with children, so any children in the home should be older and of a gentle, respectful nature.  He has not been cat tested, so cats are an unknown.  Yoda is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.  If you are interested in this sweet boy, please visit our website at:  https://pwrescue.org and click on the 'Adopt' button to complete an application.  His adoption fee is $380.00.Pathways Home Animal Rescue March 1, 2025, 10:25 pm

Story
Oreo is a handsome black and white purebred Shih Tzu. He is a sweet and loving as he can be. He absolutely LOVES balls (playing fetch) and water! He is very fun to play with and be around. He really needs a home with a yard. He does not love being around a lot of other dogs particularly dominant male dogs. He is good on walks and good in the car. We do not recommend that Oreo is in a home with small children as he does not like to be cuddled and schmoozed. He is an independent kind of guy. Oreo loves water and playing in the pool. He is loving and playful and loves toys and long walks. He is very well-behaved inside or out. Oreo is approximately four years old and weighs about 14 pounds. Oreo is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Oreo's adoption fee is $350 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
