I'm a friendly, mellow pup who loves sunbathing, snuggling on the couch, and going for walks around the neighborhood. I'm a pro at walking on a leash and I get along well with other dogs, either ignoring them or giving them a polite sniff. I love meeting new people and enjoy cuddling with all humans. I'm not much of a toy enthusiast, but I do have a soft spot for greenies. Car rides are a blast, especially when I get to feel the wind on my face. Want to know something cool? I know how to use a doggie door! I really enjoy knowing my people are present with me, and I'll let you know if I want some attention by talking to you. I'm looking for a home with people who appreciate my independent nature but also love to snuggle. I'm the type of fellow who enjoys life to the fullest, so if you're looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, I'm your perfect match! Can't wait to meet you! Sadly, Copper joined us after his guardian passed away. We're heartbroken that Copper had to experience this loss, but we are excited to see him bring joy to his next family.

Looks like: Shih Tzu mix Male, 14 years old (estimated), 12 pounds Meet sweet Samee! This guy enjoys a day of exploring, snuggling and napping. He very much enjoys greeting new people with a happy tail wag and an investigating sniff. He's a social guy who tends to follow his humans and fellow dogs around the house, very interested in what everyones up to. Samee is a sweet and gentle boy, he gets along great with dogs and cats. He adores playtime with his foster btorhers and sisters. Samee's vision is limited, but he still likes a nice walk around the neighborhood. His foster reports he can do 3 miles at a time! Quite impressive for the spunky little guy. His foster family has nicknamed him Groucho Marx because of his charming and quirky personality. Sadly, Samee joined us after his guardian passed away. We're heartbroken for Samee that he has to experience this change for such a sad reason, but we are excited to see him bring joy to his next family.

Looks like: Lhasa Apso mix Female, 12 years old (estimated), 22 pounds Lovely Lilly is proof that age is just a number and even the most delicate and adventurous pups can hold their beautiful and fluffy curls. This gorgeous Lady loves to be out and about, explore, and go on long walks, taking in all the sights and smells. She walks nicely on leash and is friendly with humans of all ages and dogs of all sizes. This laid-back girl relishes snoozing on the couch and doing her own thing, interspersed with occasional pets and cuddles. When home alone, she is well-behaved and waits patiently for her company to return. Lilly is very smart, gentle, and confident, and will easily adjust to new circumstances and adventures. Though this charming and loving little lady gets along great with other dogs she prefers to be the princess of the house and may be best suited as a solo dog. Lilly's ideal home would be feline free as chasing cats is a little too fun! Sweet Lilly is very polite and gentle when meeting children at adoption events. Lilly was surrendered to Santa Cruz County Animal Services because of her medical needs that need a little extra TLC.
